Great Boat Trip, Beautiful Coastline and Dolphins

I really enjoyed my boat trip with Dream Wave and would give it 7/10 overall.
I booked through GetYourGuide, which was straightforward and easy. The boat was comfortable enough and similar to what you'd expect from a coastal sightseeing boat.
The trip itself was the highlight. We travelled along the beautiful Algarve coastline, getting right into and close to some of the amazing caves and cliffs. The scenery was absolutely stunning 😍. The crew also did a good job explaining what we were seeing, and I thought it was a great touch that the information was given in different languages.
We were also lucky enough to see dolphins 🐬, which was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. Seeing them out in the open water was brilliant and made the experience even more memorable.
There was a good mix of sightseeing and excitement. When we weren't travelling quickly, the crew would talk to us about the caves, coastline and dolphins, but I have to say the speed of the boat was probably my favourite part. Flying across the water with the wind in your face was an amazing feeling and made it feel more like an adventure than just a sightseeing trip.
One disappointment was that we weren't able to swim. We were told that the current was going in the wrong direction and that it wouldn't be safe to get in the water. Obviously, safety has to come first and I completely understand the decision, but it was still disappointing as I was looking forward to having a swim during the trip.
I felt completely safe throughout the journey and the crew were polite and professional.
The one other thing I was disappointed with was the memorable photo package. As I was getting on the boat, the photographer got off and I didn't get the opportunity to have my photo taken. As I was travelling on my own, it unfortunately felt like the photographer was more focused on the larger groups. It would have been nice to have been approached as a solo traveller too, especially as I would have happily paid for the photo package.
Despite those couple of disappointments, I still thought the trip was good value for money and I'm glad I did it.
This was my second boat trip in the Algarve, although my first with Dream Wave. I would definitely recommend doing a boat trip because seeing the Algarve coastline, caves and dolphins from the water is something you shouldn't miss.
Would I do another Dream Wave trip? I enjoyed this one, but if I returned to the Algarve I'd probably try a different company next time, simply because there are so many boat trips available.
For me, though, the highlight was definitely the speed of the boat. There's something pretty special about flying across the water, seeing that incredible coastline and feeling the wind in your face. 🌊💨

As for the caves, nothing to say, even the captain handled the waves well; for those who get seasick, you can go, although it is a shame that we did not see the dolphins.

Bad boats with uncomfortable seats.
The driver drove very fast, bumpily, and recklessly.
If you sat on the left side, you hardly saw anything and also had no opportunity to take photos.
The driver never waited until we could go into the cave alone to take photos. The caves were full and you couldn't take any pictures.
On the way back, under the pretext of looking for dolphins, we went out onto the open sea so that you couldn't see anything of the beautiful coast anymore; then we drove back along the coast at FULL THROTTLE. No one from the crew had binoculars to look for dolphins, or any intention of looking for dolphins. How can you even look for dolphins if you are just driving at full throttle? Then we just rode back in silence for an hour on the big waves. No dolphins. These were not found because they were not even looked for!
It was very loud from the engine noise and very bumpy.
The woman told us a little bit, but unfortunately, with the noise from the engine, you couldn't understand anything and could barely hear anything.
This trip was a pure tourist rip-off.
Very unpleasant. I booked through Get Your Guide and have already submitted a complaint there.
P.S. A swim stop was mentioned at the beginning, but it was not done!
Book somewhere else!

Nice trip

We had a nice time. Shame we didn't see the dolphins but the caves were good to see. We got offered an option to swim which we would have but the majority chose not too which was disappointing. Overall though it was a nice trip just for the boat ride and caves. Our guide was very helpful and knowledgeable.

It was a great tour!

We had a wonderful boat tour in Albufeira yesterday and were on the first tour of the day with Sergio and the captain. 🚤☀️
The two of them really put in a lot of effort and showed us great beaches, fascinating rock formations, and the incredibly clear water. The stories and explanations about the various places were especially nice – this made the tour even more interesting and personal.
Unfortunately, we did not get to see any dolphins. 🐬 Nevertheless, Sergio and the captain tried everything and were very eager to find some for us. You could tell that it was important to them that we have a good time.
Many thanks to both of them for this great excursion! We enjoyed the tour very much and can absolutely recommend it. ❤️🇵🇹
