About the activity

After being picked up from your hotel, you will attend a luau on Oahu produced by the Original World Fire Knife Dance Champion, Chief Sielu. During this 3 to 3.5-hour evening, immerse yourself in the island's culture while interacting up close and personal with the Chief's tribe of warriors and hula dancers. After a lei greeting, enjoy a cocktail and partake in a sumptuous Hawaiian feast that includes pineapple glazed chicken and kalua pork. Watch a Polynesian show and participate in activities like headband weaving and more. Return transportation is included.

Chief's Luau
Chief's Luau is excited to announce it has moved to its permanent custom built home at Wet 'n' Wild Hawaii! Chief Sielu himself custom designed the new facilities at Wet 'n' Wild Hawaii to make the perfect home for Chief's Luau. The new luau grounds feature a stunning 50-foot backlit cascading waterfall to tie in the island surroundings.

Mobile or paper ticket accepted. One per booking

Meeting point and return

Departure times range from 3:55pm-4:40 pm. Check your confirmation voucher for the time for your chosen location. You cannot change your pick-up location post confirmation.

We are located in Oahu, please ensure you check you can travel to the Luau from your accommodation, we do not offer refunds for travelers who cancel on the day due to being located on another island in Hawaii.

For your hotel return transfers, please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the below departure times for your selected location, please look our for a GREEN “Roberts” motor coach:

3:55 pm Piers 2 & 10

3:55 pm Ala Moana Hotel, outside on Mahukona Street

4:00 pm Prince Waikiki, harbor side, outside of valet area

4:10 pm Ka La'i Waikiki Beach, Saratoga Avenue, outside by the valet area (the old Trump Hotel)

4:15 pm Romer Waikiki at the Ambassador, outside on Namahana Street (the old Ambassador Hotel)

4:20 pm Ross Dress for Less, 333 Seaside Avenue (Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach would be your pick up location)

4:30 pm Hyatt Regency, backside of the hotel along Koa Avenue, under the green awning.

4:40 pm Waikiki Beach Marriott, on Paoakalani Avenue, tour lobby.

The luau performers were wonderful! We enjoyed watching the show. The Chief was funny and entertaining. The cost was not proportional to the event I don’t think. There are 3 ticket options based on seating and number of free drinks. The seating wasn’t very different in the three sections. Since there were just tables on the ground in front of the stage, everyone had a good view. It’s at Wet and Wild, so it does loose some of the authenticity. If you want the whole cooked pig brought out and the natural environment, this isn’t it. It began raining pretty hard, they gave us rain ponchos but ultimately had to cut the program short I believe. But the fire show was awesome!

Disappointed Luau

I was a little disappointed, I went to Paradise Cove Luau about 10 years ago and had a great time. If they were still open I would have gone back to that one. So I am comparing Chiefs to Paradise Cove. Some of the things that disappointed me about Chief's was there were no activities before the dinner and show, no alcohol. Paradise had a full bar and our free drinks were any drinks from the bar. Paradise also cooked the pig in the ground and had the ceremony when it was removed. Chief's food was just catered and was ok at best.
