Activity Schedule 3 h Your adventure begins with a ride along the Bow River, offering opportunities to spot wildlife and admire the spectacular scenery. Halfway through your journey, you will arrive at 3 Mile Cabin, where genuine western hospitality awaits. Indulge in comforting food, including steak cooked to your preference, baked potatoes, cowboy baked beans, and Caesar salad. Before you dine, test your skills with western-style games such as lassoing and horseshoes. This ride is also perfect for younger guests. This is a perfect adventure for all ages within the family group and is available with either a lunch or dinner departure time and meal. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A WAGON RIDE ONLY. YOU WILL NOT BE RIDING ON HORSEBACK. Our establishment is located in a remote backcountry area. Due to our unique location, our kitchen operates with limited resources. We are unable to accommodate requests beyond our set menus.

Please locate us at the end of Sundance Road in Banff. Check in at the east barn, marked 'Banff Trail Riders Stable' & 'office.' This location is a 5-minute drive or a 20-minute walk from downtown, with free parking available.

IMPORTANT: ALL GUESTS MUST CHECK IN 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO THEIR SCHEDULED RIDE START TIME. LATE ARRIVALS WILL NOT BE ACCOMMODATED.

Please present this ticket at the start of the tour.

Guests cannot switch their reservation from a Wagon to a Horseback ride on the day of the trip. Ensure you have booked the correct product before arriving at the cookout.

All guests are required to arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled ride time.

Adults must sign a waiver for all activities. Additionally, a waiver must be completed by the parent or legal guardian of any individual under 18 years of age (documentation may be required to verify the signatory's authority).

Very Fun Wagon Ride in Banff

We really enjoyed this. Mom, Dad, 14 and 9 year old boys. Very scenic wagon ride for about 50 minutes to a secluded, cute, pavilion in the woods. Steak dinner was surprisingly tasty. The entire staff was very friendly and enjoyable to be with. This was a decent amount of money but I would do it again. My wife said it was her favorite part of our trip.

This was a brilliant experience, travelling in a covered wagon through beautiful countryside. Our friends went on the same trip, but went on the horses, meeting us at the cookout. The guides were constantly interacting, providing information about the area, details about the horses and showing interest in all the guests. The food was a barbeque in a covered area and was really good. I had vegetarian, but I am told the steaks were great. Would definitely recommend this as an activity whether you go by horse or wagon.

Unbelievably poor booking experience. They charge >13yo AS AN ADULT but don’t recognize 13-17yo as such to travel with a younger sibling on the wagon, with an adult riding along. Very disappointing for all involved.
