Itinerary

1
Archeological Park of Herculaneum
Herculaneum, smaller than Pompeii, is an extraordinary archaeological site preserved by the volcanic mud from Mount Vesuvius’s eruption in 79 AD. Discovered in 1709, the first excavations revealed stunning marble statues and decorations, leading to the uncovering of vibrant mosaics, frescoes, and remarkably intact buildings that showcase Roman grandeur. Explore the luxurious Villa of the Papyri with its ancient scrolls and the elegant House of the Deer, adorned with sculptures. Unlike Pompeii, Herculaneum was engulfed by a pyroclastic surge, sealing and preserving the city in exceptional detail. This unique preservation offers a rare chance to walk through Roman streets, seeing bath complexes and market spaces as they once were. Join Di Sarno Car Service for an exclusive tour through history, art, and archaeology. Discover Herculaneum’s hidden gems and experience the intimate world of the ancient Romans in a way few places can offer.

2
Vesuvius National Park
Vesuvius, the only active volcano in mainland Europe, stands as a majestic symbol over the Bay of Naples. Known for its 79 AD eruption that buried Pompeii and Herculaneum, it’s affectionately called the ""Good Giant"" by locals, reflecting the bond between the mountain and its people. Climbing Vesuvius is a unique adventure. Along the trail, volcanic artworks showcase the creativity sparked by nature’s force. At the summit, the view is spectacular: the vast crater and sweeping vistas of the Gulf of Naples, the city, and distant islands. Standing on the crater’s rim, you can almost picture the ancient eruption's impact. Today, Vesuvius embodies resilience, inspiring visitors with its raw beauty and historical significance. Di Sarno Car Service invites you to experience the thrill of climbing this iconic volcano and take in one of Italy’s most breathtaking landscapes. A journey filled with history, adventure, and unforgettable views awaits.

3
Archaeological Park of Pompeii
Explore Pompeii, the world's most famous open-air museum, where daily life of the Roman Empire is frozen in time by Mount Vesuvius’s eruption in 79 AD. Walk through preserved streets, visit the grand Temple of Apollo, the elegant Casa del Fauno, and the vast Amphitheater, one of the best-preserved of its kind. Marvel at the intricate mosaics, vivid frescoes, and detailed sculptures that bring ancient Rome to life. Each corner of Pompeii reveals stories of a world that thrived nearly two millennia ago, making it a must-see for history enthusiasts. Just beyond the ruins, discover the modern city’s traditional craftsmanship, including one of the oldest coral factories where artisans create exquisite pieces inspired by ancient Greek-Roman designs. Pompeii offers a journey through history, archaeology, and art. Embark on this unforgettable tour with Di Sarno Car Service, and let the past come alive before your eyes.

Pompeii

Day trip to Pompeii with Shearings tour operator, you have to take your passport to be able to get in and entry fees vary but are reasonably priced. Very busy with the option of having a guided tour, I didn’t bother with it and opted to explore by myself, another amazing experience. The restaurant was very nice but very busy and again reasonably priced. Well worth a visit!!

Three Tourist Sites in a Day.
Fran_W, July 2026
When booking this tour ensure that you understand the EXCLUSIONS as not all the entry fees are included. In addition, a tour guide at each site is NOT included. So basically you are only paying for the driver and vehicle take you to and from each site. Our driver was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. This tour should really be done in the cooler season as the sites are exposed to the weather.
