The most cost-effective and luckiest travel experience of this life, without exception.

Spent 3 days and 2 nights on K'gari, the world's largest sand island in Queensland, Australia 🇦🇺, and now that I'm back on the mainland, I know this short camping ⛺️ trip will be one of the most precious memories of my life!
In my whole life, I have never had such a trip, never had such an experience...
I feel like I lived another life these past three days, a life that doesn't belong to me but also belongs to me.

📍For now, I'm sending this to set the location. Later, after everyone in the team has shared and organized the photos, I will officially post them day by day in chronological order.
🏝️Kari Island (formerly Freese Island) is a UNESCO World Heritage site because the entire island is pure sand! The rainforests and forests of 1630 square kilometers are all rooted in sand.
🏕️Camping on the sand island, I don't know why it gives me a "cleaner" feeling than forest soil, everywhere is sand.

💭Actually, I wanted to sign up for this tour a year or two ago, but I finally made the tough decision to book it two months ago (because I'm socially anxious!). This is a 4x4 off-road camping adventure group, limited to ages 18-35, mostly backpackers, and basically all Westerners (there are only 4 groups in the entire camp, totaling hundreds of people, but I'm the only Asian person!). So I've always been worried that after going, I'll become that quiet person in the corner (in fact, we did see a few people in other groups who were alone, which is the situation I'm most afraid of) ...
Guess what happened? I thought I would be ruthless and force myself out of my comfort zone, but I didn't go out at all...
Because when I walked into the meeting point with a nervous feeling (and I didn't even find it, because this tour is usually 20-50 people, or even a maximum of 90 people, so there must be people coming and going at the meeting point?) The result is silent.
I searched for a long time and found a girl sitting alone in the place where the email was written, 🤔 when I asked, it was indeed here, and then I finally found out that there were only 5 of us in this group today! 5! Hey! Person!
A group of 20 yesterday, a group of 30 tomorrow, a group of 90 the day after tomorrow, you tell me 5 people today?!?!
So, what I'm most afraid of is encountering a large group where I don't proactively engage and find it hard to integrate, and it turns into everyone automatically forming small groups from the start (otherwise?), which directly makes me... unable to step out of my comfort zone... I'm so comfortable.

The guide said this was the smallest group he had ever seen, and he was even curious why the company sent out our group. This turned into a super VIP experience, and because we were a small group, preparing to eat and do anything was faster, and they even took us to many places not in the original plan.
We went to the famous McKinsey Lake, Eli Creek, Shipwreck, Champagne Pool, and also to several Sandblow Lookout and the West Coast.
Even the next day, directly taking his Lead car, no need for anyone to drive a second Tag Vehicle, amazing!
The five people are a couple from the UK 🇬🇧, a girl from Switzerland 🇨🇭, a girl from France 🇫🇷, me from China 🇨🇳, and the guide is a local from Australia 🇦🇺.
Because there were few people, and there were three solo travelers, everyone became very familiar very quickly. In the three days, a few people from all over the world talked about everything—culture, life, travel—exchanging stories from every corner of the earth.
Cooking together 🍳, roasting a fire together 🔥, playing various card games together ♠️, chatting together 💬, taking photos together 📸, watching the sunset together 🌅...
Besides the cafes in the two small towns on the island, there is no free Wi-Fi and no signal 📶, so for these three days I was forced to be "Off the Grid," completely offline, but honestly, I've never felt so comfortable!
Social networks, which should make life better, why have they become a constraint on modern people, to the point where escaping them feels like a great happiness?
Truly chatting and doing things with the people around you, no one scrolling on their phones, no screen light before bed, it's like suddenly finding something.
I admit I am severely addicted to social media, so when I have a chance, I cannot resist (like now), but I am extremely willing to be forced offline. I think modern people need at least a few days offline every year. Maybe next year I will go live in a place with no signal for a few days, because that feeling of lightness is a kind of freedom I, as a digital native, have never experienced.
We carefully feel everything; things that were once important have become unimportant, and things that were once ignored have become incredibly beautiful...

A multi-week trip to Australia, half city and half nature, that feels right!

Great weekend trip

Had an incredible time on this trip - was the best part of our East Coast tour. We did the 3 day trip which was definitely the right amount of time. Our guide - Wade - was very good, he was knowledgeable, funny and friendly. The campsite was good, although obviously basic. We cooked as a group - the food included steak, cheese + bacon burgers, sausages, salads, pasta salad and vegetables. The lunches during the day were wraps with various fillings. We really enjoyed the food. The shower and bathroom facilities were okay, a few spiders but the staff were great and cleared them after our first night. The atmosphere in the evenings was really good - we had a campfire going and everyone was playing card games, chatting, and having a couple of drinks. During the days we visited some very picturesque places, although sadly our weather was disappointing. We saw a couple of dingos but nothing to be nervous about, if you follow the rules that the guides set. Driving the 4WD vehicles was definitely a highlight. I highly recommend this trip, especially for young adults travelling up the East Coast!!
