Your adventure begins at our Meeting Point, conveniently located next to S. Bento Station. Here, you'll meet your guide who will then drive you towards Amarante, your first destination. As you travel towards the Douro Region, your guide will share fascinating insights into Portuguese history, its development, and the cultural significance of its heritage.

Amarante, our initial stop, is graced by the majestic Serra do Marão and the charming Tâmega River that flows through the city, enhancing its picturesque appeal. This city, possibly founded by the Roman centurion Amarantus, serves as a historical link between the Minho and Trás-os-Montes provinces. In the 13th century, St. Gonçalo, a Benedictine monk and the city's patron saint, commissioned the construction of a bridge over the Tâmega. Amarante is also celebrated for its delectable sweets, including papos de anjo, brisas do Tâmega, toucinho do céu, bolos de São Gonçalo, and galhofas, readily available in local patisseries and cafés.

Our second stop, situated at an altitude of 640 meters, is the São Leonardo da Galafura Viewpoint, located between Vila Real and Peso da Régua.
