El Yunque National Forest
Begin your day with a scenic drive, including a delightful stop at a local fruit stand. Embark on an interpretive hike along natural trails, surrounded by vibrant flora and fauna. You'll also have opportunities for river wading and rock scaling. Reach a hidden gem within the majestic El Yunque National Rainforest. In this stunning part of the forest, you can swim in natural pools, refresh under waterfalls, enjoy exhilarating waterslides, swing from ropes into the river, and jump from various rock formations. Relax to the soothing sounds of cascading water and soak in the unique beauty of this special place. Enjoy dinner and a break at a local restaurant before heading to the Bio Bay tour.

Laguna Grande
After receiving essential kayaking instructions, you will paddle for approximately 30 minutes through the Red Mangrove Forest to reach the Bioluminescent Lagoon. Along the way, your Eco Guides will highlight the protected flora and fauna of the mangrove forest. As you arrive at Laguna Grande, the sun will be setting, and the magic will begin. Watch as sparkles appear in the water with every paddle stroke, creating a swirl of light and illuminating the fish in the dark water.

If you choose the "self-drive" option, you will meet at Frutera Flores in Luquillo and follow the tour bus for the entire day.

What to Wear & Bring:

Be prepared to get wet and potentially muddy during this tour.

- Wear comfortable hiking clothes or a swimsuit.

- Use closed-toed shoes with good grip suitable for wet surfaces and providing support. Crocs, sandals, water shoes, or flip-flops are not permitted.

- Bring a towel, a change of clothes, and dry shoes for after the tour.

- Carry a water bottle.

- Bring cash for optional gratuities.

- Provide a cell phone number in case we need to contact you or you need to contact us before the excursion.

NOTE: Saturday tours are approximately one hour longer and more physically demanding than tours from Monday to Friday. It is crucial that you can meet all tour restrictions, possess a strong level of physical fitness, and are able to bring your knees up to your chest.

The rainforest terrain can be muddy, slippery, and uneven, involving river wading, rock climbing, and steep inclines. Kayaking can be challenging with strong currents and requires upper body strength. This tour is best suited for those with an active lifestyle. It's a long but rewarding day!
The maximum weight limit is 240 lbs per person (strictly enforced). The combined weight limit per kayak is 425 lbs (for two people), with no individual exceeding the 240 lbs limit. Weight checks will be conducted before each session for safety. Participants exceeding these limits will not be permitted to join, and no refunds will be issued. Please ensure all members of your party are aware of these restrictions.
The minimum age for participation is 8 years old.
Travelers with neck, back, arm, or leg issues, or those with casts, should not participate.
The maximum age for participation is 70 years old.
Please note: Saturday tours are longer (approximately 1 hour extra) and more strenuous than Monday-Friday tours. It is vital that you can adhere to all tour restrictions, have a strong physical fitness level, and can comfortably bring your knees to your chest.

This was a fantastic all day experience! I would definitely do this again and having transit included is a huge help. Our guides for the rainforest were Rene and Amauri (I think that was his name). They were super helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. The mango and papaya from the fruit stand was the best and super refreshing after playing around in the rainforest. Rene and Amauri really made this experience perfect. The bio bay kayaking was a lot of fun and not too challenging even as beginners that have never went kayaking before. Brian and Miguel were great. Even though we didn't go at the best time to see the bioluminescent we still had a great time. Both groups were smaller sized and it was great getting to make friends with everyone. You won't regret booking this experience!
