Activity Schedule 3 h Meet your guide at Willow Beach, Arizona, for a safety briefing and gear fitting with premium kayaks, paddles, and life vests. Paddle through the Black Canyon along the Colorado River, enjoying towering cliffs and desert scenery. Navigate past historic 1920s sites that shaped the desert southwest and explore canyon passages. Reach Emerald Cave and back your kayak into the glowing waters for an unforgettable photo opportunity. Stop at scenic viewpoints along the way for photos, snacks, and rest. Return to Willow Beach at a relaxed pace, guided by some of the most extensively trained guides in the region. This tour is operated by Evolution Expeditions, one of the original Emerald Cave tour companies, ensuring a safe, smooth, and memorable adventure for all skill levels.

How to use your ticket

Mobile or paper ticket accepted. One ticket per booking.

Meeting point and return

Please arrive at the Paddle craft launch beach 30 minutes prior to your scheduled tour time to meet your guide and be fitted with life vests and boats. Tours will commence promptly at their scheduled start time. The Paddle Craft Beach is the first beach encountered on the left as you descend towards the water.

Venetian - 120min before...THE PICKUP LOCATION IS OUT THE FRONT DOOR AND TO THE RIGHT OF MAIN ENTRANCE.

Bellagio - 110min before... THE PICKUP LOCATION IS AT THE RIDE SHARE TOURBUS PICKUP AREA DOWNSTAIRS.

Mandalay Bay - 100min before THE PICKUP LOCATION IS ON THE BEACH LEVEL OUTSIDE AT BENCHES.

(e.g. Pick up times for an 11:00 am tour are as follows: Venetian 9:00am, Bellagio 9:10am, Mandalay Bay 9:20am).

Please be courteous to other participants and promptly show up on time at the tour bus area or launch location provided on the confirmation email. Please have your cellular phone on and available. Shuttles generally arrive back to Las Vegas Resort & Hotels between 90 and 120 minutes after the kayak tour ends. Shuttle times vary with traffic.

We offer single or tandem (2-seater) kayaks. Please specify your preference.
The Emerald Cave is a small, picturesque alcove in the mountain, perfect for photos!
If you select the self-drive option, you will meet us at the marina. Ensure you have reliable transportation for your return trip, as there is no cell service at the marina for booking ride-shares.
If you have chosen and paid for the tour with shuttle service, pick-up times are: Venetian 110 minutes before, Bellagio 100 minutes before, and Mandalay Bay 90 minutes before your tour start time.
Please message us if you require a life vest in size 2XL or larger.

Wow! Calvin picked us up and gave a fantastic tour all along the way to the kayak beach. Then we were very capable in the hands of Ryan. The guy was the best kayak guide we have had. We saw such beautiful wildlife and emerald green waters. At the end of the journey we were treated to the Emerald Cave! Wow! The colors and effect were so beautiful and special. What a cool place on earth! Great ride and amazing scenery. Very well guided and cared for. The driver on the way home went out of his way too. We saw close up Big Horn sheep! And he dropped us all off at our hotels.

This was a great outdoor activity! We weren’t sure how tiring the four-mile trip would be, but glad to say it’s beginner friendly! The rudder on the kayak makes the steering easy. Our guide, Faith, was friendly, knowledgeable and great at pointing out beautiful wildlife along the way. We saw two eagles, sheep, a turtle and fish. Highly recommend this kayaking trip! It was a great way to break up our time in Vegas.

You will get muddy when you first get in the kayak at the shore. You will also get wet. There are water guns in each kayak. Our group enjoyed splashing and squirting each other. It is an easy 2 miles out to Emerald Cove and 2 miles back. Our guide, Calvin, was great. He was a lot of fun and told us much about the history of the area and about the plants and features of the area. Snacks and water are provided. This is a fun activity. I would recommend it for families. My husband and I were some of the oldest in our group and we were able to keep up. The only disappointment I had was that the Emerald Cove did not appear green. Calvin explained that it wasn’t sunny enough when we were out in our tour. It still was very nice!
