Ephesus itself is impressive but the tour disappointing.
cityc0uple, October 2026
We were guided through the highlights of Ephesus and the site itself is so impressive. However there was little chance to ask any detailed questions or explore a little. It felt a bit rushed and superficial. Pick-up and drop off were great. The lunch was of mediocre standard, with far too much time allocated and in a roadside restaurant with nothing at all around it.
Response from the operator · gezenthitravelagency
We are glad that the highlights of Ephesus and the smooth pick-up and drop-off made a good impression on you, and we appreciate you sharing your thoughts. Our group tour follows a set itinerary and timing, which is designed to cover the site's main landmarks along with lunch, as described in the tour program, and we are pleased to have delivered every part of it. We understand that some travelers prefer a slower pace with more time for in-depth questions and independent exploration, and for that style of visit a private tour may be the better fit. We hope to welcome you again with Gezenthi Travel Agency in the future.

Great guided tour of an amazing site
Cameron_L, October 2026
Ephesus is an amazing archaeological site and well worth the visit. I would highly recommend a guided tour. You can walk through the site yourself and you will see a lot, but a good guide will fill in the “story” of the city and the people who lived there. It brings the place to life and I much prefer a live guide even over the recorded audio tours often available. Our guides for the day were Erman and Alpi. Both were excellent. Clearly spoken, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. They made the day interesting and enjoyable. The tour was well organised. We were picked up right on time, transport was comfortable, driver was good, lunch was good. Nothing to complain about. Tour did include the obligatory stop at a handicraft site with demonstrations and souvenirs available for purchase.
Response from the operator · gezenthitravelagency
It is wonderful to hear that our guides brought the story of Ephesus to life for you and that the day ran smoothly from the punctual pick-up to the comfortable ride and lunch. Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review, and we look forward to welcoming you again on another journey with Gezenthi Travel Agency.

A memorable day-trip from Izmir to Ephesus
haralambosp30, October 2026
This one-day trip to Ephesus from Izmir was really memorable. Everything worked as planned. A special thanks must go to the guide, Mr. Erman Uslu: He is professionally licensed, knows in detail the region and its rich history, and, most importantly, has a very pleasant and warm personality, which made our trip that much more enjoyable. I recommend wholeheartedly both the trip and the guide.
