Beautiful, raw and worth it 100%

Amazing experience! Our guide was knowledgeable, adventurous and really shared an amazing experience. Conditions were extremely windy, so there were some delays as far as the cable car. We had to sit in line for more then an hour and again for the 4x4. This was unexpected and frustrating….although when we were hiking and seeing how raw and other-worldly it was we forgot all about the trivial inconveniences. Beautiful, and absolute nature! Would recommend 100%. Drive from Taormina was easy and exciting as well. Views all the way! Expect wind and colder temperatures. Sun is powerful although temperatures drop quickly depending on wind, clouds etc.

Too long waiting due to 2 language explanation
Jan-Hasselt, October 2026
We were with a group of 30 men. This was too big. The guide also gave the explanation first in French and then in English. If the group had been split, this would be much more interesting. Now it was often a long wait. It is also important to wear warm clothes because of the cold wind.

Beautiful experience, the guide Clara was truly super, she explained the various aspects of the volcano to us in a precise manner, from the history of the eruptions, to the type of materials, to the weather etc. It was truly an experience that exceeded expectations! Heartfelt thanks

An excursion that alone is worth the trip to Sicily
411vincenzo, October 2026
The excursion on Mount Etna alone is worth the trip to Sicily!
Our guide Ciccio was able to combine friendliness, professionalism, and passion.
Those who do not have them can receive hiking boots (essential for the excursion) at the start. The ascent by cable car, off-road vehicle, and short hike was interesting, even though the group was a bit too diverse at the beginning. I wonder how some people can improvise excursions of this type (simple but with a minimum of physical efficiency required) without taking into account that the altitude (3,000 m) and the slope on the volcanic scree are not exactly for everyone. Someone in the group gave up right after the first few steps uphill.
With a group that had become more homogeneous, the descent then became very fun, going down the steepest scree slopes and also crossing some lava "tubes".
The technical explanations about the volcano captured everyone's attention.
Unforgettable experience!
