This is a great tour because you have many options once you get to the parking area on Etna. Take the cable car up or 4 wheeler or hike on your own which we did with our guide Flavio. Our guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. He picked up up close to our hotel in Catania on time

The visit to Mount Etna was the highlight of our trip. The pickup worked out very well as agreed. Our guide Itala already told us quite a bit about Mount Etna and Sicily during the drive and accompanied us the entire time on the volcano. Her tip that we should rent hiking boots was spot on. Itala also organized the tickets for the cable car and the 4x4 vehicle. The tasting of regional products took place in a kiosk below the valley station. Visiting a lava cave was a great conclusion. Here too, Itala kept an eye on our safety and equipped us with helmets and flashlights.

Pleasant and enjoyable tour!

The tour was very enjoyable and dynamic. Even though we didn't use cable car (it was a option), on around 2000m you have plenty of scenery and terain to experience on Etna. I recommend to use some trail or running shoes, terain is demanding. Our tour guide Lorenzo was fantastic, very funny but also full with useful informarions. Riding with him to Mount Etna was excellent experience. There was plenty of nice stories, some funny some informative. I recommend this guide and also this tour. Cheers!
