About the activity

Embark on a scenic journey south from Salta on RN 68, passing through charming tobacco towns. Our first stop is Talapampa, a tranquil rural spot perfect for a 20-minute break. Next, we'll visit Alemania, a historic railway village with a small, current population of five families. The true magic begins in the Quebrada de las Conchas nature reserve, home to 65-million-year-old sedimentary formations. Explore iconic sites like the Devil's Throat, Amphitheater, Toad, and Plaster, rich with archaeological and historical significance and fossil remains. After our exploration, we'll visit a local vineyard for a tasting of regional wines, including the renowned Torrontes. In Cafayate, you'll have two hours to enjoy lunch and explore the town at your leisure. We will then gather and begin our return journey to Salta.

Beautiful experience in Cafayate

Excellent excursion! The driver-guide Mauro was very kind. The only thing to improve is the departure time, they asked us to be there earlier and we were delayed in leaving... everything else was impeccable.

wandalauragimenaa, October 2026
Good evening, today I traveled with my husband to Cafayate, honestly an unforgettable experience, I want to highlight the work and professionalism of: David the driver, very responsible and pleasant, Abel excellent guide and translator, they made us have a beautiful day. We traveled with people of various nationalities and thanks to the guide and driver we felt very comfortable. Tomorrow we booked for Salinas Grandes and many in the group are also going, THAT IS WHY WE WANT TO REQUEST TO TRAVEL WITH DAVID AND ABEL. I HOPE YOU TAKE OUR OPINION AND REQUEST INTO ACCOUNT. THANK YOU VERY MUCH IN ADVANCE
