About the activity

We will journey along RN 68 towards the tobacco towns of Cerrillos, La Merced, and El Carril, then turn off onto RP 33 to the west. We will enter the Andes Precordillera through the Quebradas de Los Laureles and Escoipe. Next, we'll begin the ascent of the famous Cuesta del Obispo, a winding road surrounded by impressive rock formations and natural walls where the majestic Condor can be spotted. The slope will lead us to the enchanted valley and Piedra del Molino, our highest point at 3348 meters above sea level. From this vantage point, the landscape transforms dramatically as we enter the Puna desert. We will then travel the Tin Tin straight, a section of the Inca Trail, through Los Cardones National Park, passing through Payogasta and finally arriving in Cachi. After lunch, we will explore the village, admiring its well-preserved colonial architecture, its historic Church, and its Museum that preserves the history of the region's indigenous communities. We will also visit the artisan market.

We went to Cachi with Kevin (great driver!) and with Sergio (a friendly guide with excellent management of the group of tourists). I liked the excursion a lot. Maybe I would remove one of the two intermediate stops for buying regional items. In Cachi we ate very well. At the agency, Sol assisted us with kindness and efficiency. The van was very good.
