Day trip from Madrid
Michael_B, October 2026
Both Avila and Segovia are picturesque lovely towns.
Day trip from Madrid is a nice exposure to plan for a future trip.
The “get directions” function on the Viator app will put you in proximity to the tour start. Allow time for a little hide and seek to locate the actual starting point. This should be improved when using their app.

The tour to both places...
Terence_H, October 2026
The tour to both places was great. We would've liked more time in Avila but, understand the time constraints of visiting both cities in one day. If you're not bilingual, go with the English only tour. Our guide Angie was great but, very hard to understand in English through the earbud. She really knew her stuff but, I could understand her better by standing close to her listening without the earbud.
