★★★★★Viator review
Grand Canyon Tour, was a disappointment and costly.
EricandHonor_B, October 2026
Long but that’s to be expected, what we didn’t expect was a 40 min drive to Williams. This was to drop one couple off for the train ride. So 40 min each way was spent for two people. We did nothing there but use the restrooms and p/u lunches. So when we got to the beginning of the tour at the Grand Canyon, we spent 2 hours at the first stop, which was excessive. We had to wait for the train couple to arrive, then we proceeded to lunch, then rapidly tour the three more stops: two ten min stops and one twenty, then a three hour drive thru flagstaff.
We thought we would’ve been spending time in Flagstaff also. We did not. I really feel the addition of the train couple impacted our, as well as the other two couples, excursion badly.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We respectfully disagree with several of the claims in this review and would like to clarify the itinerary and experience for future guests considering our Grand Canyon Deluxe Day Trip from Sedona.
Our company has been operating Grand Canyon tours for nearly 20 years, consistently earning outstanding reviews for our knowledgeable guides, thoughtfully planned itineraries, and commitment to guest satisfaction. We take feedback seriously, but we also believe it is important that prospective guests have an accurate understanding of the tour.
For the benefit of future travelers, we would like to clarify a few points:
The stop in Williams: Traveling through Williams is part of our established route to the Grand Canyon's South Rim. The stop provides guests with an opportunity to use the restrooms and obtain lunch before continuing to the park. This stop is part of our regular itinerary and is not added solely to accommodate guests taking the Grand Canyon Railway.
The time spent at Grand Canyon Village: Grand Canyon Village is a significant part of the Grand Canyon experience, offering historical landmarks, visitor centers, shops, and opportunities to explore this iconic destination. During this portion of the tour, the guide coordinated the train passengers' arrival while the other guests had time to enjoy the village. We understand that guests have different preferences regarding how they spend their time, but this stop is an intentional part of the experience rather than simply waiting for other passengers.
The scenic viewpoints and guided experience: The tour begins with hotel pickup in Sedona and concludes with your return to your hotel. Throughout the day, our professional guides share information about the landscapes, history, and landmarks along the route, answer questions, and provide commentary to enrich the journey. At the Grand Canyon, guests visit multiple scenic viewpoints, including stops that are separate from the train passengers' itinerary. The remaining scenic stops are an integral part of the tour and are designed to showcase the remarkable views and natural beauty of the South Rim.
Regarding Flagstaff, this is a scenic drive-through portion of the return journey, not a scheduled sightseeing stop. We encourage prospective guests to review the published itinerary before booking so they have a clear understanding of the destinations and stops included.
We are sorry to hear that this guest felt the experience did not meet their expectations. However, the concerns expressed in this review do not reflect the itinerary as designed or the feedback we have received from other guests on this departure, who expressed positive impressions of their experience.
We appreciate every guest who chooses to tour with us and remain committed to providing an informative, enjoyable, and memorable Grand Canyon experience. If you are considering this tour, please review the itinerary and feel free to contact us with any questions before booking. We want you to know what to expect and to feel confident in your choice.
