About the activity

Experience our signature flightseeing and glacier landing tour, featuring 30 minutes of flightseeing and 30 minutes on the ground across 3 distinct glacier areas, including a landing directly on the glacier itself. The tour includes an alpine landing where you'll spend 30 minutes appreciating the immense scale of the Knik Glacier, a vast expanse measuring 5 miles wide and 29 miles long, all from a bird's-eye perspective. Your second landing brings you to a striking 100-foot ice wall, where you might witness the dramatic calving of massive ice chunks. After 30 minutes of exploration, you'll proceed to a glacier landing situated in the heart of the Knik Glacier. Here, you can disembark and spend approximately 30 minutes exploring ancient ice formations. Discover the vibrant azure blue melt pools (during summer), intricate crevasses, and unique ice formations sculpted by the forces of water, wind, and sun. Throughout your flightseeing journey, keep a keen eye out for the region's diverse wildlife, which may include moose, mountain goats, Dall sheep, bears, and occasionally even wolves. Please note: From October to April (Winter), landings are not conducted directly on the glacier due to frozen melt pools. Instead, landings will take place adjacent to the glacier. The total tour duration is 2 hours, encompassing 3 landings.

Sweet September Views
tinav894, September 2026
First and foremost, Josh Barchers, our pilot was incredibly smooth, very experienced and knowledgeable. He couldn't have made this experience any better. Words cannot express the magnitude of beauty you'll see and feel deep into your soul. Touring over such vast & epic features viewed from the sky and also landing on peak points of the surrounding mountains is so surreal. To say the trip was ahhhmazing beyond my adventurous spirit still does hit the proper description of my trip. Jaw dropping, heartfelt, and humbled are just a few words to help you comprehend my personal experience. Trust me, you'll never want to see sites like these in a small airplane ever again!

Truly a highlight of our 10 days in Alaska! Wyatt was an excellent pilot and tour guide; he chose amazing spots for us to explore at the landings. He even spotted some bear from the air! I was amazed at every turn. Highly recommend!
