Experience the most intimate summer dog sledding adventure in Alaska! Our carts are designed specifically for dog mushing and each seats only two people for an authentic journey.
Your ride will take place on our own private training trails, surrounded by Alaska's spruce and birch trees. These are the same trails we use for Iditarod training in the winter!
Our carts are entirely dog-powered, just like a sled, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the natural sounds around you, free from noisy motors or traffic.
After each run, all dogs are released to roam freely and interact with guests. Enjoy an open-house style tour where you can meet and play with our champion dogs, and feel free to ask questions!
Your visit also includes a tour of the kennel and a nature walk to our handcrafted wooden pavilion. From there, enjoy a view of Denali and a hands-on demonstration of our winter gear and race sled!
We provide a complimentary snack and water to help you cool down after our summer fun. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Best dog sledding ever!!!
320bobbief, October 2026
Our dog sledding tour with Alaskan Husky Adventures in Willow was easily the highlight of our entire trip. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was absolutely unmatched. The team welcomed us warmly, ensured we were comfortable and properly geared up for the weather, and made us feel like family rather than just tourists.
Our guide was phenomenal—not only incredibly skilled but deeply educated about the history of dog sledding, the Iditarod, and the unique landscape of Willow. They patiently answered all our questions and shared fascinating insights into mushing culture, which made the experience so much richer. You can tell how much they truly care about the dogs, who were energetic, happy, and clearly loved what they do. The ride itself was breathtaking, winding through stunning fall scenery with a perfectly managed team of Dogs. If you are looking for an authentic, educational, and hospitable Alaskan adventure, look no further than this incredible team. Also the cuttest puppies ever!!!We will definitely be back!

If you're thinking about doing this tour ... DO IT!!!

Wonderful tour where we learned so much about what goes into preparing for the Iditarod race (for both the dogs and humans). Very informative and fun! Especially if you're a dog lover. We did the summer sled tour. Even though it was drizzling, we had a blast - and you get equipped with waterproof gear so you don't get mud on your clothes. We even got to visit with the brand new litter of puppies! Our guide, Dane, was phenomenal, and the dog team was even better! The pups deserve a raise in extra treats.

2yo and 4.5yo Approved!

We had so much fun on our first “big” activity of our Alaska trip. The experience was super accommodating for our family of 4 including a 2 year old and 4.5 year old. Both kiddos LOVED the ride and my husband and I particularly enjoyed talking with Dane about all things dog sledding. After the ride my 2 year old kept saying “one more time!” And my 4.5 year old said she wants to do this every time in Alaska and it wasn’t just good - it was amazing! I would absolutely recommend this experience to other. It was so much fun!

This experience was better than I could ever imagine! From the time we arrived and spoke with Mathew the owner, to meeting the dogs and the dog handlers I felt that we had made the perfect choice for a Husky adventure. I would 1,000% recommend this tour. The ride was so fun and you could see how much the dogs enjoy what they do. We got to pet the dogs and hold some puppies. Please don't pass up this opportunity to tour with Alaskan Husky Adventures. Thank you so much Mathew and Liz for this amazing experiece!
