Urgent Warning – My Personal Experience with Miracle Experience Balloon Safari
I booked a balloon safari in the Serengeti through African Safari Expert as part of a group of six people. The price was €450 per person.
Before take-off, I was aware that there were rising winds. We were initially told that the flight might be cancelled. Nevertheless, the pilot decided to proceed.
The landing was a frightening and traumatic experience for me. The balloon was travelling at what I experienced as a very high speed, approximately 40 km/h. During the landing, I was dragged along the ground for approximately 100 metres. I struck my head twice and was not wearing a helmet or any other head protection.
I subsequently suffered a cervical spine injury. The experience was so distressing that I still have nightmares about it.
I had expected medical assistance to be available, but I was unable to find the doctor who I had understood would be present.
Based on my personal experience, I found this balloon safari deeply distressing. I believe that the circumstances surrounding the launch and landing deserve serious consideration. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this activity to ask detailed questions about weather conditions, safety procedures, passenger protection and emergency medical arrangements before booking.

A wonderful, unique way to see the Serengeti!

We had a wonderful time flying over Serengeti. Our pilot, Felipe Tostes, was able to “steer” us over the river Mara, and we saw lots of hippos in the water, one or two out of the water, as well as crocodiles, and elephants. The crew made us feel very comfortable and safe and it was a great experience to share with our friends. And the breakfast they served after the balloon ride was excellent!!
I highly recommend this unique experience with Miracle Experience Balloon Safaris!!

A fantastic experience over the magical Serengeti

This is a MUST Do. One of the most incredible things that we did in Serengeti. We saw more animals riding in the dark to the balloon site than we did during the day. A huge hipo running across the road and a fresh lion kill with hyenas running across the road dragging bloody animal parts. Incredible!
The ballon ride over the magical Serengeti was beyond words. Gorgeous landscapes beautiful animals.
The breakfast was terrific with local people
And the balloon itself was so safe and better than any other balloon I had ever ridden in.

Excellent ballon trip

A good way to see the beautiful Savannah from above. It gives a different perspective than in a Safari jeep. Excellent service that cater to all our needs.
Greeted at the launch site with coffe, water and snacks and also very clean restrooms.
The breakfast was outstanding with foods available to suit all tastes made to order
