Marvel at the breathtaking scenery, and if fortune favors you, catch a glimpse of Kilimanjaro's summit. The falls themselves cascade over 80 meters, offering a tempting pool for a refreshing swim – don't forget your swimwear! After soaking in the natural beauty, you'll return with your guide to Materuni village for a traditional Chagga lunch. Be sure to sample the local banana beer, a truly unique experience. Chagga tribesmen are renowned as Tanzania’s finest brewers.

Great and unique experience!
shelbycC465BY, October 2026
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had such a great experience and I highly recommend this tour! There is quite a bit of driving involved, including some intense bumpy backroads, so I recommend taking something for motion sickness if you’re prone to getting carsick! Our guide, Benson, was wonderful! We really enjoyed chatting with him and later listening to music during the drive, which made the travel time enjoyable. Our first stop was the swimming hole, and WOW! It was absolutely gorgeous and honestly one of the prettiest places I have ever seen! We had plenty of time to change in the provided bathrooms and enjoy swimming. Just a heads-up, the bathrooms are traditional squat toilets (holes in the ground), but they were relatively clean for what they were. Next was the waterfall hike, which was definitely more challenging than we expected, mainly because the trail was muddy from the rain the day before. It ended up being a great workout, though, and the stunning views and waterfall made it completely worth it! Afterward, we headed to the coffee experience, which was SO much fun! We got to learn about and participate in the entire coffee-making process, from bean to cup. The coffee was incredibly fresh and delicious, but the best part was the people! They made the whole experience so entertaining with singing, laughter, and teaching us about their traditional coffee-making process. We absolutely loved it! We finished with a delicious traditional lunch they prepared for us, which was the perfect way to end the day. Another thing we really appreciated was that they offered to take our phones throughout the tour to capture some epic photos and videos! They knew all the best spots and angles, and we ended up with some amazing footage to remember the experience! Overall, such a fun and memorable experience with beautiful scenery, a little adventure, wonderful people, and delicious food and coffee. Highly recommend!

The tour is very nice...
Dominik_R, October 2026
The tour is very nice and Emmanuel is a great guide. He always made sure that we were doing well and paid attention to everything. For example, he kept an eye on our things the whole time while we were swimming in the hot springs. The waterfall is definitely worth a visit. At the coffee plantation, you get great insights into how coffee can be produced, and in many places, it's accompanied by singing. The hot springs are not particularly warm, but they have a pleasant bathing temperature. It is definitely an experience to swim among the palm trees.

Fantastic Day
Michelle_K, October 2026
We were a group of 6 Australian ladies who had Benson and Innocent as our guides for the day. They were very professional and informative and both had a great sense of humour! We had a fantastic day with them both and would absolutely recommend them and the day tour to all.

Great activities after many days of safari
Kaajal_P, October 2026
Our guide was great and we had a wonderful time. After many days of safari, getting out to a hike was great. And the coffee making and local foods lunch was nice as well. Highlight was definitely the swimming at the springs. We swam around, floated on the rented tubes, and jumped off the swing a few times. Only reason I rated it a 4/5 is because of how much driving there is. It was expected and stated in the experience description, we were just tired of drives after many safari days. Overall a great experience though and happy we did it

Money well spent
LucyF1462, September 2026
Benson our guide was knowledgeable and had the answer to every question. The coffee making was an insightful experience and it was great to support the local Community. The price was good for what we experienced. It was a long day with a lot of driving which varies depending on where you’re staying. I felt safe with Benson’s driving.
