Mesa Verde

We did the 1/2 day Mesa Verde excursion with Neil as our driver and tour guide. It was a great tour and would highly recommend it. Neil provided the history of the land. native Americans and settlers along our route, and into the park. He was very personable and made the trip more enjoyable. Likewise, he provided water, Gatorade and snacks, which were much appreciated. The package included a descent onto Cliff Palace.
As a side note, getting to the ruins is physical. The elevation is ~7,250' that could affect breathing when navigating the narrow, steep, twisting and uneven path to and from the ruins. And of course, balance and leg strength is important.

We took the 1/2 day Mesa Verde trip on 5 Oct 26, with Neil as our driver and guide. Neil was great: narrating the road trip up and back, pointing out the history of the land, native Americans and settlers. Once in the, he continued providing history, pointing out significant land marks and getting us ready to descend and stand in the Cliff Palace ruins. Additionally, he provided water, Gatorade and snacks.
It was an exceptional adventure and Neil was fantastic.

Great guide made the difference

Wes was our guide. Very impressed with his knowledge and friendliness. The van was comfortable but I strongly encourage you all to carry a heavy duty step stool. We came away with a deeper appreciation for what is Mesa verde and its history especially regarding the Ute people.

We had Neil as our tour guide and felt so taken care of right from the start! He had an extensive snack box and loads of ice cold waters and Gatorade if we needed them. He was so informative and we loved his sense of humor! We really felt rich in all the fun facts and history Neil shared with us throughout the trip. Throughout the trip, he was so kind to take our photos professionally of no charge out of the kindness of his heart. We can't thank him enough! On the way back into town, he suggested a lovely Italian place for dinner which we ended up going to right after he dropped us back off. So so good!

Fabulous tour with Neil as our guide. He's so knowledgeable and took care of us during our tour. It was so great having him to guide us though the park. Your in great hands wth him as your guide. Definitely highly recomend !
