Explore ancient Mexican cooking techniques and flavors, using fresh ingredients and making tortillas from scratch. Everything is prepared for you to enjoy a cultural immersion into Mexican food, culture, and traditions, all within a beautiful Mexican house nestled in the lush Yucatan jungle.
Our culinary experience begins with an introduction to Mexico's essential ingredients and flavors, its most representative foods, how to classify and dry chiles, and a detailed look at the tortilla-making process.
Next, we will guide you through the entire process of preparing and cooking an authentic, traditional Mexican meal from scratch, including the star of Mexican cuisine: tortillas made fresh!
Many of the dishes you will learn and cook are from my family's cherished recipes. As a native Mexican, I inherited my passion for Mexican cuisine from previous generations.
Once the cooking class is complete, we will sit down to enjoy the delicious results of our efforts, accompanied by a 'jarrito de agua fresca,' beer, or wine – or a combination of your choice!
