La Maison Arabe pioneered the first cooking school in Morocco in 2001, offering food lovers in Marrakech a chance to uncover the secrets of traditional Moroccan cuisine.
Workshops are led by a 'dada' (traditional Moroccan cook) with a translator (Arabic/English/French). They take place either at the cooking school near Riad-Hotel La Maison Arabe or in secluded gardens away from the medina's hustle.
Learn to prepare Moroccan dishes in a modern workshop equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. Each participant has an individual workstation, and only the freshest local ingredients of the highest quality are used.
La Maison Arabe's cooking workshops offer two distinct experiences:
* 1-Hour Express Moroccan Cooking Workshops: Available in two daily sessions – 1:30 PM (for lunch) and 6:30 PM (for dinner).
* 3-Hour Moroccan Cooking Workshops: Offered in two daily sessions – 10 AM (for lunch) and 3 PM (for dinner).

Must do cooking class
Zaheer_S, October 2026
This is a true hands-on cooking class in a purpose built cooking school. Every detail has been thought about. Fawa (guide) and Habiba (dada/chef) were excellent! Really welcoming and helpful. Best tajin I had while in Morocco.

Great experience & delicious meal!
Fatu_T, August 2026
I absolutely loved this cooking class. The workshop is beautiful and each cooking station is set up nicely. Wafa was very sweet and gave great instructions. The chicken tagine was so good that I may even try to make it at home.

Thoroughly enjoyable experience. We wish we had booked the 3 hour experience. Dont eat beforehand as you get to eat your delicious tagine afterwards.
