Three day trips into the Atlas leave from Marrakech and are listed online on WizardTrip. The first offers three valleys and a camel ride, the second goes up the Ourika Valley, and the third heads to the Ouzoud Falls. They have 12,206, 5,329 and 4,277 reviews (as of 18 October 2026), with ratings of 4.8, 4.8 and 4.9 out of 5.

They differ mostly in distance, walking and meals. The Ourika takes about an hour on the road, according to the listing, and Ouzoud three hours one way. This article compares the programs, the options and the limits that travelers have noted, then says which one to book based on your profile.

Atlas Mountains day trip from Marrakech: what you need to know

All three trips leave from Marrakech and return the same day, with pickup at your accommodation. Each offers a private option in addition to the group option. In all three listings, the refund is full if you cancel at least 24 hours before departure.

Two trips combine hiking with a visit to a women’s argan oil cooperative and Berber tea. The third focuses on the Ouzoud Falls, with a boat ride depending on the option.

The three Atlas valleys with a camel ride

The three-valleys trip is the most reviewed, with 12,206 reviews. Its program lists the Imlil, Asni and Amizmiz valleys, about nine Berber villages and tea with a Berber family. It adds a visit to an argan oil cooperative, a hike to the waterfalls and a camel ride.

The listing shows 7 hours. Its program states a 9 am departure from your accommodation and a return around 5 pm. It also mentions a general meeting point at the Café de France, on Jemaa el-Fna square. The group has 14 people at most.

Lunch is not included. An optional Berber meal, with salad, tagine, fruit and water, costs €7. The trip can be canceled if the number of participants is insufficient. The guide speaks Arabic, Korean, Thai, English, French or Spanish.

Several reviews praise the hike and the welcome. MarcoJonathan describes in October 2026 “an easy 25-minute walk” to the Imlil waterfall. LarryJr reports in September 2026 that the camel ride “only lasted 10 to 15 minutes.” He places it in a small area near the main road.

LarryJr, who gave 3 out of 5, adds that you do not really visit the three valleys. He specifies that the Berber house where breakfast is served is also a shop selling argan oil products, which did not bother him.

The Ourika waterfalls with lunch by the river

The Ourika waterfalls have 5,329 reviews. The valley is 60 km from Marrakech, according to the listing, and the drive takes about an hour. The morning starts at Dar Zite, a Berber house. It presents the culture of the Amazigh people and the making of argan oil, with mint tea and a light breakfast.

The group then goes on to Setti Fatma, where professional guides lead the hike to the waterfalls. This stage lasts 3 hours in the program. Lunch follows at a restaurant by the river, with a starter, main course and dessert ordered from the menu, before the return to Marrakech.

Four options exist: small group with lunch, small group without lunch, private with lunch, and private with lunch and a camel ride. Transfer from the riad, hotel or Airbnb is included in all of them. Lunch drinks are not: the listing puts water or juice at between €1 and €4. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available.

The listing does not give the departure time. The driver arrives at the hotel entrance 10 minutes before the scheduled time. If the hotel cannot be reached by car, a nearby spot is designated. Guides speak Arabic, Portuguese, English, French or Spanish.

Sarah describes in September 2026 three stops before the valley: a potter, a Berber house and an argan oil shop. She counts about 80 minutes of walking round trip, on a trail used by other groups. In October 2026, Rachel finds the hike fairly difficult in places.

The Ouzoud Falls, with or without a boat ride

The Ouzoud Falls tour, with 4,277 reviews, requires the longest drive: the listing states a 3-hour scenic drive. Departure is at 7:30 am from your accommodation. According to the listing, the falls are in the Middle Atlas and tumble down multi-level cliffs.

A local guide leads the visit and presents the history, geology and wildlife of the region. The guide can recommend a restaurant for lunch, which is not included. Admission to the site is included in the program.

Three options stand out. The 9-hour shared group includes a local guide and the boat ride. The private tour includes them as well. The small group with transport only lasts 10 hours. The listing presents the boat sometimes as included, sometimes as optional, depending on the option chosen.

Reviews stress the drive. A traveler from October 2026 counted 6 hours of travel round trip and judges the trip worth it. He also mentions monkeys living freely on the site. Another, in August 2026, plans on about €15 for the restaurant.

A September 2026 review, rated 2 out of 5, reports that the booking with guide and boat had been recorded as transport only. The traveler says he learned of the error on arrival, after three hours on the road. So check that the option on your confirmation matches your choice.

How far is the drive and how much walking should you plan for?

The Ourika is the closest: about an hour on the road, according to the listing. Ouzoud takes 3 hours one way, and one traveler counts 6 hours round trip. For the three-valleys trip, the listing gives no travel time.

On the three-valleys trip, Charlotte reports in May 2026 a rope bridge with no railing at the end of the waterfall trail. A traveler from August 2026 finds the van old and the driving rough on the mountain road. He nevertheless likes the guide and the hike (4 out of 5).

Can you go with children?

The three-valleys listing names families with children in its audience, and the Ouzoud listing families with young children. All three listings offer baby car seats. The three-valleys and Ouzoud listings also accept strollers and prams.

The Ourika listing advises against the trip for pregnant women. None of the three listings mentions a minimum age. The Ouzoud trip suits all fitness levels. The three-valleys one requires a moderate level, and the Ourika one states moderate effort during the hike.
