About the activity

Embark on a thrilling 2-day adventure to witness the majesty of two iconic Indonesian volcanoes! Your journey begins with a pickup at 11:30 PM by our dedicated driver and expert guide. They will transport you to the Bromo region in Probolinggo, a scenic 3-hour drive from Surabaya or Malang. Upon arrival, we'll switch to a 4WD Jeep for an exhilarating ride along bumpy terrain towards Mount Penanjakan, the prime vantage point for the spectacular Bromo sunrise. After descending, you'll traverse the vast 'sea of sand,' a dramatic landscape shaped by Mount Bromo's past eruptions. A gentle 30-minute trek will lead you to the crater rim. From here, marvel at the active Mount Bromo crater, its caldera, and the stunning Javanese mountain range, including Mount Semeru, the island's highest peak. You'll also discover a Hindu temple, echoing the rich history of the Majapahit Kingdom. The next day, prepare for an early start at 1:00 AM for your transfer to Ijen Crater. A challenging yet rewarding 1-hour trek awaits. At Ijen Crater, you'll have the unique opportunity to witness the mesmerizing Blue Fire phenomenon. This spectacle is best viewed before sunrise, making our midnight ascent essential.
