This trip to Mount Bromo, Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, and Ijen Volcano involved very long drives, and the hiking and river trekking trails were quite challenging. Unfortunately, I couldn’t make it to Ijen Volcano because I didn’t have enough stamina.
However, thanks to our wonderful guide, Ari, I was able to enjoy Mount Bromo and Tumpak Sewu Waterfall. Knowing that I struggled with the physical challenges, Ari always stayed by my side to help me and encourage me along the way.
Ari is the most patient tour guide I’ve ever met. He is also such a kind-hearted person. Even though we didn’t speak the same language, he always did his best to explain and introduce everything we saw along the journey.
Our driver was also amazing, and he drove very smoothly and safely. I’m just sorry that I couldn’t remember his name.
Hopefully, next time I’ll be strong enough to challenge Ijen Volcano, and I hope to do it together with Ari!

Nano 在整個旅程中都非常細心。他會經常關心我們的狀況，確保我們感到舒適，所有資訊也都解釋得非常清楚。最令我們印象深刻的是，他是一位非常懂得處理事情、熟悉當地環境的本地人，而且與很多當地人都很熟悉。這讓我們與當地人的溝通變得方便很多，有時甚至能幫助我們節省一些費用。很快地，我們已經不再覺得他只是一位導遊，而更像是一位陪我們一起旅行的當地朋友。
這次旅程其中一個最主要的目的就是 無人機航拍攝影，而 Nano 在這方面的安排做得非常好。從 Bromo 的火山地貌，到 Tumpak Sewu 壯觀的瀑布景色，再到 Ijen 的日出氛圍，他都幫助我們找到不少適合飛無人機和拍攝的地點，讓我們成功拍到很多非常滿意的畫面。
因為這次是只有我們兩個人的私人團，所以時間安排非常有彈性。我們從來不會覺得行程很趕，如果當時的光線、天氣或航拍條件很好，我們就可以在景點多停留一段時間，直到拍到滿意為止。對以攝影和拍攝為主要目的的旅客來說，這種彈性真的非常重要。
另外，Nano 本身也很會拍照。有些時候真的會讓人覺得，旅程中好像多了一位攝影師跟著我們一起旅行。
整個旅行團的 性價比也非常高。我們入住了 Jiwa Jawa Resort Bromo、Artha Cottages，以及 Lintang Luku Tent Resort Ijen，這三間都是我們在當地住過非常出色的住宿，同時行程也完整涵蓋了東爪哇三個主要景點。
即使到了比較辛苦、需要走較多山路和較陡地形的部分，尤其是 Tumpak Sewu 和 Ijen，Nano 也一直在旁邊照顧我們。不論是幫忙拿背包、與當地人溝通，還是確保整個行程順利進行，他都會主動幫忙。
司機和交通安排同樣非常好。車子很舒適，所有接送都很順暢。考慮到 Bromo、Tumpak Sewu 和 Ijen 之間的距離都不短，但整趟旅程仍然安排得非常流暢，讓長途移動也不會覺得辛苦。
總括而言，這是一趟「遇到的人與目的地本身一樣令人難忘」的旅行。Bromo 和 Ijen 的日出，以及親眼看到 Tumpak Sewu，本身已經是非常難忘的體驗，而 Nano 的陪伴，令整趟旅程變得更加有溫度，也更加愉快。
到了旅程最後，我們真的覺得自己不是請了一位導遊，而是認識了一位新朋友。

We booked a 2-person private tour with Sofyan Java Adventure Trail, covering three of East Java’s biggest highlights — Bromo Sunrise, Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, and Ijen Sunrise — and the entire experience was amazing. A huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Nano.
Nano was incredibly attentive throughout the trip. He was always checking on us, making sure we were comfortable, and explaining everything clearly. What impressed us most was how street-smart and well-connected he is as a local. He seems to know people everywhere, which made communication with locals much easier and even helped us save money in different situations. Very quickly, he felt less like a tour guide and more like a local friend traveling with us.
One of the main purposes of our trip was drone photography, and Nano did an excellent job arranging the itinerary around that. From the volcanic landscapes around Bromo, to the dramatic scenery at Tumpak Sewu, and the sunrise atmosphere around Ijen, he helped us find many great and suitable places to fly our drone and capture some of our best footage from the trip.
Because this was a private tour for just the two of us, the schedule was very flexible. We never felt rushed and could spend more time at a location when the light, weather, or drone conditions were good. For us as photographers, this flexibility made a huge difference.
Nano is also surprisingly good at taking photos, so at times it honestly felt like we had an extra photographer traveling with us.
The tour itself was also excellent value for money. We stayed at Jiwa Jawa Resort Bromo, Artha Cottages, and Lintang Luku Tent Resort Ijen — three of the best stays we experienced in the region — while also covering all three major highlights of our East Java journey.
Even during the more physically demanding parts, especially the hiking and steep terrain around Tumpak Sewu and Ijen, Nano was always there to help, whether it was carrying our backpacks, communicating with locals, or simply making sure everything went smoothly.
The driver arrangement was also excellent. The car was comfortable, the transfers were smooth, and considering the long distances between Bromo, Tumpak Sewu, and Ijen, the whole trip felt very well coordinated.
Overall, this was one of those trips where the people you meet become just as memorable as the destinations themselves. Watching the sunrise at Bromo and Ijen, and seeing Tumpak Sewu in person were already unforgettable experiences, but having Nano with us made the entire journey much more personal and enjoyable.
By the end of the trip, we genuinely felt that we had made a new friend rather than simply hired a guide.
We would definitely choose Sofyan Java Adventure Trail again, and when we visit Komodo Island in the future, they will be the first company we contact.

The tour was just perfect for us. The Guide Nano and the driver Rico are such nice Guys. We had so much fun during the hole trip. Nano knows exactly the right spots and told us so many interessting facts about this stunning nature! We highlty recomment this tour. It‘s definetly worth it.

Amazing East Java Tour with an Excellent Guide

We had a really great time on our East Java tour. Our guide Albert was very helpful, explained a lot about the places we visited and gave us many interesting insights. We especially appreciated the spontaneous changes to the schedule, which helped us avoid some of the bigger tourist crowds while still seeing everything important.
Unfortunately, the Ijen tour had to be cancelled because of forest fires, which was very disappointing. As an alternative, we did a rice field tour with local people. We saw and learned a lot and really enjoyed the experience, even though of course it could not fully replace a volcano tour.
The organization was good overall. There were a few small communication issues regarding the accommodations, but Albert handled everything very well and made sure we always arrived where we needed to be.
We would definitely recommend this tour. We learned a lot, saw incredible places and came home with unforgettable impressions.

Wonderful Trip with a great Tourguide

We had a fantastic trip with Vidran and his Driver. We Hit it off wonderful right from the start.
Vidran shared a lot of Information about Java with us, about the Culture and the sights.
He has a great ability to create the right atmosphere, which makes the experience feel like a trip with a friend.
He took excellent care of us, always looking out for our safety and additional wishes. It was the Highlight of our trip to Indonesia, so big thank you to Vidran as our Tourguide for making it so Special.
All in all a highly recommended Experience.
From the Sights to the meals to the Hotels he booked for us, it was an absolutely Perfect trip.
