Nauyaca Waterfalls
Embark on a hike to the magnificent Nuayaca Waterfall, a journey of approximately 40 minutes through the jungle. Upon arrival at the first waterfall, you'll have the opportunity to swim in the 80-foot plunge pool. We'll also guide you to areas for safe jumping (participation is not required) and help you explore the surroundings of the upper 160-foot waterfall. This natural wonder is a must-visit for anyone in Manuel Antonio.

Wow ! The highlight of our Costa Rican vacation ! This was our second time to CR and our second waterfall excursion with Paddle 9 and it did not disappoint. Our guides were Alex and Reece and they were beyond exceptional. They were punctual with picking us up from our resort, filled us in on what to expect for the day, headed to our destination and gave us a little history on the way. Took their time and pointed out little things on the hike to the falls. The hike was a relatively easy hike, helpful to bring shoes that have good grips, especially during the “green” season as it can get muddy and slippery. They do have railings to hold onto for the majority of the trip. Alex and Reece helped my oldest climb the lower falls which is an experience he will never forget. They also taught him some tricky jumps and jumped along side of him. Had some fresh fruit as a snack by the falls too. Totally awesome excursion, worth every penny and made some fantastic memories. We did our tour with Matt and Alex and we had the best time. They taught us a lot, were patient and helpful guiding us up the falls to keep us safe, and gave us the best day of our trip. We told them how much we love sloths so they even made sure to stop the truck and point out a sleepy little sloth hiding in the trees on our way to the falls. Highly recommend this tour and company. Thank you Matt and Alex and Paddle9!

Our Nauyaca Waterfall tour with Paddle 9 was THE highlight of our family’s trip to Costa Rica. Our guides were prompt to pick us up from our hotel. Carlos was a very safe and efficient driver. The guides- DK, Mike & Alejandro- were all AMAZING throughout the trip…from a little bit of Costa Rican education on the trip to making sure we all felt safe on our adventure, I felt like we were in great hands. They were all very interactive with us and our boys, ages 9 and 16. DK was great at pointing out plants and wildlife, including a sloth and toucans, during our trip. At the end of our trip, a delicious lunch was served and our boys had an opportunity to play pool and ping pong while the adults enjoyed a cold beverage from the bar. I rate this trip a perfect 10!!
