Wonderful tour. Cocktail and food history, plus restaurant history. Better than a "5" rating.
94jackt, October 2026
Excellent time. Group of 6 people. Terrific destinations. Easy pace. Authentic food and great cocktails. Dylan is a seasoned pro. Extensive knowledge, great communicator... perfect person you'd want to choose locations as well as spend time having cocktails with. Terrific command of the History of restaurants in NOLA and of cocktails (globally). Great sense of humor, kept it lively the entire time. Well worth it. Definitively, a solid pick. A sample: Napoleon House (Restaurant / Bar). Building dates to the late 1700s/early 1800s and was offered as a refuge for the exiled Napoleon Bonaparte. National Historic Landmark known for its muffulettas, Pimm’s Cups (cocktail)... which BTW is exactly what you are served. The perfect paring. Pimm’s Cup is the signature cocktail at the Napoleon House. This IS the bar that popularized it in the U.S. in the mid-20th century (1940s) and is widely credited as one of the first places in America to serve it. Building is so unassuming you'd stroll right by it and likely not even snap an image with no prior knowledge. What's better than an Authentic historic location, historic cocktail, authentic muffuletta in the heart of NOLA?
