The best reef tour in Queensland

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 – An Unforgettable Reef Experience with Ocean Safari!
From start to finish, Ocean Safari delivered an absolutely fantastic experience that my wife and I loved, especially as we were enjoying our honeymoon!
We started at Turtle Rock Café, nestled in the rainforest in a beautiful location. The amenities were clean and well presented, and we were greeted by Bruna, the resident dog, who was an absolute sweetheart.
We were then fitted with our wetsuits and introduced to our tour guide, Locky, who was incredibly informative. After a short walk down to the beach, we boarded the boat with our skipper, Cody. The boat is powered by twin 350 hp V8 Yamaha motors, which were surprisingly quiet as we made our way out to the reef.
Once we arrived, Locky and Cody ran through the safety briefing. Both were extremely knowledgeable and took everyone's health and safety seriously. I felt completely safe in their hands throughout the entire trip.
The snorkelling was fantastic, with Locky constantly on the lookout for different marine species and regularly checking in on the group to make sure everyone was comfortable and getting the most out of the experience. His enthusiasm and knowledge really added to the day.
We then headed to a beautiful sand island, where we enjoyed a couple of beers together. Being on our honeymoon made this moment even more special! The boys kept a close eye on everyone, reminded us to reapply sunscreen, and made sure we were all staying sun-safe.
On the trip back to shore, Cody opened the boat up for the thrill-seekers, and what a ride! The boat is incredibly fast while still feeling stable and controlled. We had an absolute blast, and none of us experienced any seasickness.
After returning to Turtle Rock Café, we met Jody, who was so friendly, engaging and welcoming with all the guests. It was the perfect end to an incredible day.
If you're looking for a more intimate reef experience without feeling crammed into a boat with a huge crowd, I cannot recommend Ocean Safari enough. The crew were professional, knowledgeable, safety-conscious and genuinely passionate about giving everyone a great day.
Thank you, Locky, Cody, Jody, Bruna and the entire Ocean Safari team for making our honeymoon so memorable. We absolutely loved every minute and would happily do it all again!

Trip of a lifetime

Still in awe of the most incredible day out - a bucket list activity! The whole trip was superbly organised, it was clear what to bring with us and all the crew from the people who answered the phones, to the cafe staff were so welcoming. The drive from Port Douglas to Cape Tribulation is breathtaking taking, and the whole trip was value for money. When you consider the level of experience, and knowledge alone its astounding. As a family of 4 I was the only one never to have snorkelled and was thrilled to get over the fear of having my face in the water - not from anyone else's intervention but form feeling so comfortable and safe with Lachie and Cody. One of the other participants was able to experience her first swim, and it was reassuring of the goodness of humanity to watch how the crew took it in their stride, built her confidence to the stage she didnt want to get out of the water. Its commendable.

Excellent, small group experience. Terrific staff: friendly, funny and fun, but very safety oriented - great equipment (including full length wetsuits) instruction and guiding. Sea-life was fantastic. So many creatures, so many colours - bucket-list stuff for sure. I'll never forget it

Incredible experience

Just got back from our reef experience and had a blast! We were initially a tad worried because of the rough waters that were forecast but Lachie and Liam allayed our fears with their confidence and knowledge. Lachie Was a standout guide tracking down a big turtle and a couple of clownfish for us to see! All in all saw so many incredible reef life and loved having a beer on the sandbar out in the middle of the reef. Definitely a standout of the trip!

A family Must Trip!!!

Isaac & Lachie were amazing. We felt super safe, they explained everything and the trip exceeded our expectations.
The reef was stunning, the short boat ride there and back meant we could capitalise our trip and make the most of the snorkelling time.
Would 100 % recommend, and we would absolutely go again.
We had one child with us, they had child wetsuits, and life jackets to him with.
And we got to see a sting ray, sea turtles, so much beautiful coral and even Nemo and Marlin 😍😍
