Excellent introduction to La Paz

Excellent introduction to La Paz. Private guide and driver out to the impressive Valley of the Moon, then dropped at one of the modern cable-car stations. This system not only avoids the dense traffic but gives amazing views across the whole city. Ended our full half-day with a wander down through the cobbled streets of the old quarter, taking in the cathedral, main plaza and the weird witches market before getting back to our hotel. Paola was great, and we'd definitely recommend this tour.

Good quality half day private tour of La Paz and El Alto

This was a great half day tour to get to see the key highlights of La Paz in a short amount of time. We were picked up directly at our hotel by our lovely English speaking private guide at around 830am. We were explained the tour and the stops we would make. We were then taken by car to the Valley of the Moon just outside the city. The guide provided explanations and was more than willing to answer questions and take photos for us. Time does not allow to explore the full sight but we had sufficient time to cover what we wanted to. Following the valley of the moon we re boarded the car before being dropped at the cable cars. We then took the key lines of the wonderful cable cars of La Paz with our guide to cover the main neighbourhoods of the city and made a small detour to walk around El Alto’s extensive local market. Finally we spent about 45 minutes walking around La Paz historical colonial city centre and exploring churches, government buildings and streets before ending the tour at Witches Market for some shopping. I recommend this tour to others who want to see La Paz in a short time with a private guide !

It was a wonderful and very fulfilling tour. The cable car ride was especially impressive. La Paz is connected by cable cars almost like a metro system, and seeing the entire city from above was an amazing experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and had an excellent understanding of the city and every place we visited. The explanations throughout the tour were very informative and made the experience even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting La Paz.

The Moon Valley is not as impressive as they describe it, but our guide made the visit pleasant. However, the visit and ride on the cable car was a magnificent experience. Reynaldo is a professional and very polite and knowledgeable. He gave more than I expected. I hope he can continue to share his knowledge with visitors to La Paz.
