• We are a VIP-oriented private tour company. Booking tours that don’t include tickets is the only way to ensure a perfect experience, since the tours sold with tickets included are NOT skip the line!!

• It’s important that you read the voucher info after booking, as we give instructions on how to purchase the tickets. Please note that tickets for the high season will not be sold until the season starts.

• Hotels: We pick up at all hotels in Rio (including Barra da Tijuca), national and international airports (included). Your guide will wait for you in the hotel lobby.

• Port/airport: Your guide will have a sign with your name at disembarkment, near the main gate.

• If you would like to change the date or pick-up time, please make an amendment or send us a message.

• At the beginning of the tour, please tell your guide your choice for art, history, or nature focus.

• Unfortunately, we are not able to change the pick-up time on the DAY of the tour. This period of waiting will be missed from the tour. Thank you for your understanding.

• We will not pick up travelers inside the slums (favelas/communities).

1. IN THE HIGH SEASON

• Please note that busy times such as New Year's and Carnival will limit the number of places to be visited. During Carnival days, streets may be closed for parties, which will make the tour proceed at a very slow pace.

• We strongly recommend starting with Sugarloaf by purchasing Fast Pass tickets for 30 minutes after your chosen pick-up time. (https://bondinho.com.br/en)

• Please note: Seniors (over 60) will pay half price at Sugar Loaf ONLY, by showing a copy of an ID or passport, and will have a special line inside. It takes about 3 hours to visit Sugarloaf.

• Then, get MORNING "Skip the Line" tickets on the Viator website, as they can be used anytime in the morning!

2. IN THE LOW SEASON

You may start with Christ by purchasing tickets in advance on their official website (https://www.tremdocorcovado.rio/) for 1 hour after pick-up*, unless you are at Barra da Tijuca, in which case make it 2 hours.

• You can purchase Fast Passes for Sugarloaf ON THE DAY OF THE TOUR.

3. OTHER GENERAL INFORMATION:

• Your guide will be wearing a fuchsia/purpleish T-shirt or polo.

• The tour duration is 9 hours with lunch, or 8 hours without lunch. Lunch is the main meal in Brazil.

• Airport pick-ups and drop-offs, as well as Barra da Tijuca, will follow the tour duration from beginning to end (8 hours).

• Itinerary is customizable within Rio de Janeiro city only, covering the north, center, and south areas. Sites may be replaced by others; just ask your guide.

• To see more places, we suggest a Sugarloaf drop-off. (Sugar Loaf is very close to Copacabana.)

Great experience with Flavia! She was right on time, arriving at our hotel lobby before us. Driver collected us and we were off to Christ the Redeemer. Flavia navigated us quickly through the masses and got us to the front for a quick trip up. She knew all the tricks to get us through everything quickly and avoid lines. Dropped us off for a great BBQ lunch and finished with Sugar Loaf and amazing views of Rio. Flavia and our driver were the best! Highly recommend!!

A wonderful way to see Rio for the first time! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had a really great experience with Way to Know Rio during our first visit to Rio de Janeiro. We were a group of four and did an 8-hour tour covering Sugarloaf, Copacabana, and Ipanema. The whole day was very well organized, from hotel pick-up to drop-off, and we finished right on schedule. Our guide, Daniel, was definitely the highlight of the experience. He was friendly, knowledgeable, patient, professional, and funny, and his English was excellent. More than that, he was genuinely caring and attentive to our needs. He somehow had everything we might need in his bag! One of my friends got cold during the afternoon, and Daniel even had a small cover ready to keep her warm. These little gestures really made us feel looked after. We also loved that Daniel didn’t just take us to the usual tourist spots. He showed us some hidden spots and little details that we probably wouldn’t have discovered on our own. He was also very helpful with taking photos and was happy to adjust the itinerary according to our energy and requests. The driver was incredibly efficient. Every time we finished at a location, it felt like our car was already there waiting for us. It honestly felt like having a bodyguard on standby, ready to pick us up wherever we were! 😄 This made the entire day feel much more comfortable and stress-free. Another memorable part was lunch at Churrascaria Palace. Daniel made the Brazilian lunch experience even more enjoyable and memorable, and it was a lovely way to experience Rio beyond just sightseeing. Communication through WhatsApp before the tour was generally good, and the team was very accommodating, even with some last-minute requests. Everything we had agreed on in the proposal was delivered, and we felt safe and well taken care of throughout the day. The only area I think they could improve is making the communication a little more efficient and organized, especially before the tour. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend Way to Know Rio, especially for first-time visitors. Having a professional guide who is knowledgeable, flexible, caring, and able to accommodate last-minute requests made a big difference to our trip. I would happily book with them again on our next visit to Rio. 🇧🇷❤️
