Outstanding Tour Company — Book Both the Old Town/GOT Walking & Boat Tours!

We booked both a private Old Town/Game of Thrones walking tour and a half-day private boat tour with Snooky Tours and had an absolutely wonderful experience with both. From the very beginning, working directly with Dario, the owner, was incredibly easy via email and WhatsApp. Snooky is a small, family-run business and you really feel the difference in the personal service. Dario was extremely responsive and patiently answered all of my questions—and I had a lot! One thing many people may not know is that Snooky offers a fantastic deal when you book both experiences for the private Old Town/GOT tour AND private half-day boat tour, and the tours don't have to be on the same day. It was an incredible value at €350 for both private experiences. Our walking tour was with Matea, Dario's wife, and she was fantastic. We finished the City Walls earlier than expected, and they accommodated us at the last minute by starting our tour 30 minutes early. Before starting, Matea asked about our interests and adapted the experience accordingly. She was incredibly personable, sweet, kind and knowledgeable. She did an amazing job blending Dubrovnik's history and culture with the Game of Thrones filming locations. Two of our friends had never watched GOT, so Matea explained the storylines and characters along the way, giving them enough context that they enjoyed those parts of the tour too. The pace was perfect, we saw the major sites in and around Old Town, she took us to some beautiful locations for photos and incredible views, and we learned so much. It felt like exploring Dubrovnik with a knowledgeable local friend rather than following a tour guide. Our half day private boat tour showed us an entirely different side of Snooky's service. Unfortunately, we woke up to rain, wind and choppy water on the morning of our scheduled tour. Dario, the owner, contacted me immediately and monitored the weather hour by hour. He saw a potential break in the weather that afternoon and rearranged everything so we could depart at 1:00 PM instead of canceling our day altogether. Dario personally met us at the pier to welcome us, and our skipper—also named Dario—was experienced, friendly and fun. Although the water remained a little choppy, we always felt safe with him. We visited the Blue Cave, where we were able to swim and enjoy the cave, and then passed by continued to Lopud Island, where we had time to explore the little town, relax and swim at the sandy Sunj beach. Because of the sea conditions, we didn't make some of the other potential stops, but we appreciated that safety came first. We still had a beautiful scenic ride back and a wonderful afternoon on the Adriatic. Both experiences were highlights of our time in Dubrovnik. From Dario's communication and flexibility to Matea's fantastic walking tour and Dario, our skipper's experience on the water, Snooky provided truly exceptional, personalized service from beginning to end. I highly recommend booking directly with them—and definitely ask about the combination deal if you're interested in both tours. Wonderful people, wonderful experiences and a local family-run business absolutely worth supporting!

Highlight of our Dubrovnik trip

Darío was an amazing guide and gave us an incredible experience on the water. The pick up at sub gardens was punctual and very convincente to us. Dario then took us to 3 different swimming spots (including the blue cave), which were all very unique, and even took us into additional caves on the boat. He offered to take pictures of us, which was very nice, and provided floating noodles, snorkeling gear, and even a GoPro camera to use. This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Dubrovnik. Highly recommend!
