Best bio bay experience
marangelieg2026, October 2026
The tour was about 2 hours long. Thank was was beautiful and warm. Surprisingly. We stopped for a dip at the sand bar. Than went to the bio bay. Probably one of the best experiences. Watching the water glow as I swimmer and looking up at the beautiful stars. It actually felt magical. Ended my trip in the best way possible. Loved every minute of it. Stood in the water as long as I could. I will definitely be doing this again.

Sunset Tour and Swimming
287alyssac, September 2026
We did the sunset tour. We got to watch the sunset while swimming on the sandbar. Once it was dark, we moved to the biobay and got to swim with the bioluminescence. It was a great time and I highly recommend this tour!

Horrible

I am appalled by this company. They were located in an area with no parking or facilities. The dock to the boat was a fall risk it was so slimy and slippery. The operators didn’t offer help at any point and were on their phones or sleeping during the time guests were in the water. Everything was so unsafe. We requested a refund because there were no bioluminescence and once they read that, one of the crew pushed my daughter while she was on the slippery dock. Don’t sign their waiver, they will not keep you safe! I would advise staying away!
Response from the operator · hectors426 Thank you for your feedback. Bioluminescence levels depend on natural conditions like moon phase and cloud cover, which we disclose in advance and cannot guarantee on any given night. Our docks are fitted with carpet to prevent slipping. Regarding the claim that a guest was pushed we reviewed video footage of the unloading process and can confirm this did not occur. We’re sorry your experience fell short of expectations

Wouldn’t recommend
michaelacg18, September 2026
There was very little bioluminescence. You had to be in the water moving to see it and even then it was very dim.
The hosts really couldn’t give a care in the world as they were on their phones the entire time we were docked or were lying down on the boat with their eyes closed (yes, I’m serious). Not safe!
We were also unable to go in the water as the ladder was difficult for someone who isn’t able bodied or strong.
To boot, at the end of the tour I was almost run off of the dock by a disgruntled crew member who had clearly seen the negative review we wrote while on the tour.
Wouldn’t recommend.

Would not reccommend
Michaela_G, September 2026
The water doesn’t glow unless you kick your feet and even then it’s VERY dim. Would not recommend. Additionally, the captains are on their phones the whole time you are anchored. Very unsafe.
Response from the operator · hectors426 Thank you for your feedback. Bioluminescence comes from dinoflagellates that need to be agitated to glow — it’s a natural phenomenon, so brightness can vary from night to night, but it should always be visible, especially when the water is disturbed. We’re sorry it was dim during your visit.
Regarding your safety concern — that’s something we take seriously and don’t take lightly. Our captains and deckhands are expected to stay attentive to swimmers and passengers at all times while anchored, not on their phones. We’ll be addressing this directly with the crew involved. We appreciate you bringing it to our attention.
