It is a half day tour....
Tanjia_A, October 2026
It is a half day tour. Time is tight. But the tour guide covered all three places. The history was well explained and we were taken good care during our tour.

Kia Ora Tanjia Thank you for leaving us a 5 star review! We're glad to hear that you were well taken care of and that you enjoyed learning about the local history during your morning with us. Because our shared half-day tour covers three major geothermal highlights, the itinerary is definitely packed, but we're pleased to hear our guide made sure you saw it all comfortably. Safe travels on the rest of your adventures, and thanks again for joining us! Ngā mihi, The Elite Adventures Team

A must-go, but Lady-Knox-Geysir is fake
Lisanne_Z, October 2026
Wai-O-Tapu and Waimangu are absolute beautiful!!! A must-see. Lady-Knox-Geysir is fake, they put soap in to make the eruption. No support for this. Could have stayed much longer in the parks and enjoy beautiful nature. Please offer at more time at the spots to enjoy. I know the guides saw this for 1000x.

Kia Ora Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We're glad to hear you found Wai-O-Tapu and Waimangu beautiful and worth visiting. We appreciate your perspective regarding the Lady Knox Geyser presentation and the pace of our shared tour itinerary. Because Lady Knox relies on a surfactant to lower the surface tension of the water and trigger its daily eruption at a set time, we know it can feel a bit structured for travelers seeking a purely natural experience. Our shared morning tour is specifically designed to help guests experience as many key geothermal highlights as possible within a half-day schedule. For travelers who prefer spending extended time exploring the parks at a more leisurely pace, we always recommend looking into a private tour that provides more time in the parks and one on one time with our expert guides. Thank you again for touring with us, and we wish you safe and happy travels on the rest of your journey! Ngā mihi, The Elite Adventures Team

Fun day at Waiotapu and Waimangu!
dianalX3092KQ, September 2026
Shout to Phil for being an awesome tour guide! He was very friendly and gave us a lot of cool info about Waiotapu and Waimangu! He was on time to pick us up, and greeted us from our hotel lobby! Phil was very passionate when he spoke about Waimangu since he worked there before. We got back on time! I would say eat breakfast since it’s a short tour; there is not much time to eat lunch. Overall 5 out of 5 stars! Thank you Phil!

Kia Ora! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback with us! We're so glad to hear you had a fun day exploring Waiotapu and Waimangu with Phil. He is truly passionate about the geothermal valleys, especially given his background working in Waimangu, and he loves sharing that deep local knowledge with our guests! We really appreciate your tip about having a good breakfast beforehand, as well as your kind words about our punctuality. Thanks again for choosing to tour with us, and we wish you all the best on your future adventures! Ngā mihi, The Elite Adventures Team

Beautiful sceneries, knowledgeable guide
linc105, September 2026
Very good tour with excellent guide! Clive our guide is knowledgeable and experienced. He filled us with lots of information along the way and he likes to decorate it with some jokes. The tour is really interesting, we saw many sceneries related to the volcanic activities. Although the weather was not too friendly (occasionally rains and chilly winds), but the spirit of the group and the beauty of nature made the tour very satisfying. Recommend to bring raincoat or wind breaker no matter what because the weather changes all of a sudden without hints. I was told to wait at 8am but the minibus came around 8:25am, so if you received the confirmation of your booking, don’t worry and relax, the minibus will eventually come.

Kia Ora! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback with us! We're thrilled to hear that you had a very good tour and enjoyed exploring the geothermal landscapes with Clive. He truly loves sharing his knowledge and local humor with our groups! Thank you as well for pointing out the weather tip—bringing a raincoat or windbreaker is definitely great advice for Rotorua's changeable climate. Regarding your pickup time, thank you for your patience and reassurance to future travelers. Pickups can occasionally run slightly behind as our driver navigates morning traffic and collects guests from multiple locations, but we always appreciate your understanding. We're so glad the spirit of the group and the beauty of nature made for a satisfying day out. Safe travels on the rest of your journey, and we hope to welcome you back again in the future!
