A great way to see the countryside , meet the locals , experience the local life , get away from crowds and experience the true life of cretens . Lunch was fantastic and our guide Christos was engaging and so enthusiastic. Very passionate about Greek history and how life is lived here in Crete. Would recommend this tour !!

What a fabulous day out

Having not done this sort of thing before it was booked for my husbands birthday and we both thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The guide was excellent and very informative. We went to places we never knew existed. Lunch was also very enjoyable. Anyone thinking of booking this make sure you get Darrel for your guide you’ll have a ball he was fantastic.

Especially nice route!

It was a special, fun, and great experience. The weather was very bad and despite some roads being difficult or inaccessible, Jan (the driver) made it an unforgettable experience. He spoke passionately about the things he had shown and managed to make it enjoyable with his fluent chatter along the way. Definitely worth it!

High up and surprisingly beautiful

Our tour on 09/28/26 to the mountains and the Lassithi Plateau, up to the shepherd Yannis, at an altitude of 1200m was sensational. Thomas, our guide, loves what he does! The whole trip was entertaining, interesting, and enjoyable. We learned a lot about the country and its people, sang together in the car, were served a delicious lunch, and got to know the beautiful island even better - in short, it was great. We can really only recommend this excursion... away from tourism, to immerse yourself in a world where life and hospitality are authentic.
