If you're staying in Orlando, Silver Springs State Park is a 90 min drive from Orlando, and makes a wonderful day trip. There are hiking, and biking trails, clear bottom boat rides, wonderful food, and much more. The kayaking is the best in the state, with 5 miles of crystal clear water, and one of the last undeveloped springs, and wild wilderness in Florida. Wildlife is abundant. The park is a national natural landmark.

No single person can weigh more than 225. These kayaks will not float you if you exceed the weight limit. We also offer paddle boards and solo (non-clear) kayaks for this adventure. If someone in your group does not fit the weight capacity, no worries. We offer an option for non-clear solo sit-on-top kayaks with a weight capacity of 300 pounds and non-clear sit-on-top tandem kayaks with a weight capacity of 500 pounds, and paddle boards 250 pounds. It’s important to come properly prepared for this experience. That includes wearing water shoes, gym clothes that you wouldn’t mind getting wet, a towel, and a wet bag to place personal belongings. We wish we would have known this ahead of time.

This is must do activity in Florida. We also got to see a bunch of wildlife: birds, fish, manatees, alligators, turtles and monkey. Our guide, Steve was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions (there were a lot). You can tell he genuinely loves what he does and loves all the animals and wildlife he works with as well. He was friendly and I’m very glad he was our tour guide.

Such a great trip with Steve who was our trip guide. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the wildlife and Silver Springs. We didn’t expect to see any Manitees but we saw about 4 along with turtles, birds and monkeys. It was well worth the trip from Orlando out. Would definitely recommend Steve and all the guys at Kayaking Florida! They’re the best 🙌

We had a great time on this tour. Although it is not manatee season we were able to see 7 today. Ashley was our guide and she was very knowledgeable, friendly, and took tons of pictures for us.
