Hinze Dam
Hinze Dam serves as a vital water source and a sanctuary for wildlife.
Around the lake and in the adjacent bushland, kangaroos and wallabies are frequently seen grazing.
Koalas can also be spotted, typically high in eucalyptus trees, resting or moving between branches.
The forests are home to possums, bandicoots, and the occasional echidna.
Birdlife is particularly abundant, with opportunities to see eagles soaring, black swans and cormorants on the lake, and colorful lorikeets and king parrots in the trees.
The dam also attracts various waterbirds like pelicans, herons, and ducks.
Reptiles, including lizards basking on rocks and turtles near the water's edge, are part of the ecosystem.
At night, the area comes alive with the sounds of frogs and nocturnal animals.
