After the tour, enjoy a meal at one of our dining venues situated beside the famous sails, offering some of Sydney's best views. Very interesting tour. They provide headsets so you can hear the guide perfectly. We used our voucher at Midden. The menu is limited with the voucher but dinner was delicious and a great value.

Great tour, terrible dining experience!
A283VFlisac, August 2026
This review only reflects the dining experience, the tour itself was wonderful and educational. The dining experience at Midden felt like a bait and switch. You are only allowed certain menu items and you will only be sat in certain parts of the restaurant. That was unexpected, but fine. It’s a package deal, understood. What was unexpected is we did not feel welcome at all. We were embarrassed to be there after a few moments because we were left to find our own table with our cutlery and glasses in hand. The bar manager eventually found us a table, which was lovely. The meal was small, but plated well. We were never checked upon, never offered water. We just left after eating because it was clear no one else would attend to us. All this to say, don’t do the dining experience. We said that we’d laugh about this one in a few years.
Response from the operator · Sydney Opera House
Dear A283VFlisac, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are glad to hear that your tour of the Sydney Opera House was wonderful, but disappointed that your experience at Midden was less than satisfactory and that you were made to feel unwelcome. The menu options for the package are listed on the website, on the Tour & Dine page under 'menus' tab when you book, but I am very sorry to hear that you were not assisted in finding a table, nor offered water or checked upon. We will pass this on to both the Tours and Midden team, but should you wish to write a formal complaint, please head to the Sydney Opera House website and type in 'feedback' and an SOH representative will be in touch with you. Kind regards, Team SOH
