I love ❤️ a good story. And the only thing I love more than a good story… is a tasty snack! 😋 This delivers on both.
Now, before I go crazy here on how fabulous a time was had on this adventure, let me first mention the cheese tasting!! 🧀🤩 Definitely my favorite part. Do not miss it. 🤓
A wonderful experience as Alex expertly blended a history of the people and places of the city and the foods they are inextricably connected with. Time travel is best served by foodie waypoints; Chocaltine, Choux Crème, and La veritable saucisse were enough in and of themselves but, there was more to come. Which was a good thing because we covered some distances.
The ancient (and not so ancient) buildings rising above us, like hiking through canyons of the Hérault. It was a perfect day for the outing. Which was no small feat given the weather experienced in the Languedoc that week. I mention this because, the tour manager worked with me days earlier to reschedule this tour for a better weather day. All arrangements were handled on his end and I cannot recommend you defer to his care if you should have the opportunity to take this tour.
10 out of 10!! Would do again. 🤓🤘🏼

Hidden Gems of Toulouse

We met Alex immediately before the tour began, and had quick introduction to the rest of the group. This tour began in the morning with a short history of the building we were standing in front of, followed by a chocolatine (not a pain au chocolate). The rest of the tour featured a variety of Toulouse facts and stories, along with relevant food choices to that history. (Including an in-depth wine and cheese tasting outside of the food market!) Alex was so thorough and passionate about the facts and history of Toulouse, and conveyed just how special of a place it is! We truly enjoyed the tour so much, and feel like we learned some things about this city that we never would have otherwise. Highly recommend!

What a great experience! It was a wonderful way to start my trip to France. So much history and knowledge was shared while enjoying some great food. I really like how it was all tied together at the end. I would highly recommend this excursion and I almost feel like I want to do it all over again today.
