Itinerary

1
Peles Castle
Visit Peles Castle, the 19th-century summer residence of Romania's royal family, built by Carol I. Recognized as one of the most beautiful castles in Romania and possibly Europe, it showcases German Renaissance manor architecture. The castle boasts 160 rooms and 30 bathrooms, with intricate woodwork by Vienna's Bernhard Ludwig being a key feature.
· 2 h· Admission not included
2
Manastirea Sinaia
Explore the beautiful Sinaia Monastery, an Orthodox site dating back to the 17th century.
· 30 min· Admission not included
3
Rasnov Citadel: Garden and Panoramic View
Discover Rasnov Fortress, constructed in the 13th century atop a rocky hill, offering a perfect vantage point over the surrounding valley. The fortress, which was only conquered once in 1611, served to protect villagers during attacks. Here, you can see the ruins of a Catholic chapel, defense towers, and remnants of approximately 80 houses, including a school and a 146-meter-deep well dug by prisoners.
· 1 h
4
Bran Castle
Step back into the 14th century at Bran Castle, with its Gothic architecture built on a boulder in a valley. Historically, it guarded the border and the entrance to Transylvania. In 1897, the Irish writer Bram Stoker famously linked it to the Dracula legend. Its tall walls, cold, robust towers, and mysterious rooms evoke a medieval atmosphere, reminiscent of when guards patrolled and Dracula is said to have tortured thousands.
· 2 h· Admission not included
5
Brasov Historical Center
Enjoy a brief tour of the city center as you pass by its main attractions.
· Non-stop passage

Guide was awesome. We really enjoyed Pele’s Castle and will highly recommend seeing this to our friends and family. Would list it as the #1 thing to do if in Brasov or Bucharest. Well worth it.

Overall, a Good Day Tour with Room for Improvement
yvonnelV8969VX, October 2026
Overall, it was a good and enjoyable day tour. The itinerary was well organised, and I appreciated the opportunity to explore some of Romania’s beautiful historical attractions. However, one aspect of the experience that I felt could be improved was the lunch arrangement. Instead of being given the option to choose where we would like to have lunch, we were simply brought to a restaurant selected by the tour guide, without any prior discussion or consultation. Personally, I would have appreciated being given a choice, especially since everyone has different food preferences and expectations. Even a few restaurant options or some free time to explore nearby eateries would have been a much better arrangement. I understand that group tours need to follow a schedule, but I believe a little flexibility and consideration for guests’ preferences would go a long way towards improving the overall experience. That aside, the tour itself was enjoyable, and I had a good day exploring Romania. Just some constructive feedback that I hope the tour operator will take into consideration.
