A wonderful way to spend an evening
Jane_S, October 2026
This class was excellent. Francesco provided many valuable general cooking tips that can be used apart from the specific dishes that we were taught to make. Julie's English translation was invaluable in helping us understand Francesco's instruction (and jokes). And finally, the five course meal that we had at the end was very enjoyable.

Best thing we did in Siena

What a delightful afternoon, stretching into evening! Francesco and Julia were both excellent communicators, involved all participants, and made the preparation of a delicious meal fun and informative.

Schools in session
Richard_B, October 2026
The experience for our group was too intensely organized around making a lot of pici (spaghetti) by hand for over 35 minutes . Atmosphere was not fun. The food was good. We were only given wine with dinner, it was not very good wine, any extra they charged 10eu.. if you like a regimented school experience, then you would be happy . If you like a more fun vibe, it’s not for you.

Unbelievable cooking experience
MichaelS989, October 2026
We did a great deal of research to find a cooking class that would feature gnocchi and we would be able to get to without a car in Siena. We were over the moon with our choice of Scotland di Cucina di Lella. Francesco was easy to communicate with and super responsive. This class certainly checked every possible box.
We were instructed on how to make a delicious 4 course Tuscan meal which focused on Tagaliata steak and potato gnocchi. After everything was done we enjoyed one of the best meals we had in Siena with very nicely paired wine.
Francesco was very entertaining and has Julia there to help translate when needed. While we had not planned originally on a private lesson to be honest we enjoyed having the two of them for our own tour guides through this delightful culinary experience!
