Itinerary

1
Camden Harbor Park and Amphitheatre
Your sunset sailing cruise begins at Bayview Landing, centrally located in Camden Harbor. Mariners recognize Camden Harbor as one of New England's most picturesque harbors, where majestic mountains meet the sea. Embrace the spirit of adventure as the crew prepares to hoist the sails. Participate in this time-honored tradition by lending a hand to raise the sails. Take the helm and experience the thrill of steering a traditional wooden vessel.
· Non-stop passage
2
Schooner Appledore II Windjammer Cruise
The Appledore II was meticulously hand-built in 1978 at Maine's renowned Gamage Shipyard, upholding the finest shipbuilding traditions. Her exceptional seaworthiness was proven during a circumnavigation of the globe. She continues to undertake a significant ocean voyage of 2,000 miles twice annually, traveling between her summer home in Camden, Maine, and her winter residence in tropical Key West, Florida.
3
Curtis Island Lighthouse
Your scenic boat tour of Downeast Maine will guide you past the historic Curtis Island Light, a beacon for seafarers since 1836, as you enter the beautiful Penobscot Bay. As we navigate the dramatic coastline, admire the stunning mountains – a rare sight where the mountains descend directly into the ocean along the Atlantic seaboard. With the vibrant sky as your backdrop, observe magnificent mansions, historic inns, and elegant yachts. Keep an eye out for playful porpoises, majestic eagles, and soaring ospreys. Along the rocky shores, you might spot seals and various shorebirds, including guillemots, relatives of the puffin.
4
Mount Battie
Enjoy refreshing cocktails, beer, wine, and soft drinks, all available for purchase during your sailing excursion. Gather with your loved ones to witness the spectacular sunset over Mount Battie and raise a toast to a wonderful day. As darkness falls, the distinctive flash of the Curtis Island Light will guide our return journey to Camden Harbor.

Historic schooner with an outstanding captain and first mates. Despite the cloudy skies and calm seas, we thorougly enjoyed our "sunset" cruise. Highly recommend this vessel, either in Camden or Key West!
Response from the operator · Ashley V
Thank you for the recommendation. We look forward to seeing you again soon for brighter skies and another outstanding sail.

Once again a wonderful evening.

Our sunset cruise on the Appledore was perfect. The crew were all so very kind and knowledgeable. The weather was perfect. This was our 5th time on this beautiful ship. 3 times in Key West and 2 times in Camden. Every time it's a wonderful experience. The icing on the cake this time is my son and his girlfriend got engaged while we were sailing. The crew popped a bottle of champagne and shot off the "cannon" to help us celebrate.
