Embark on our public tour aboard our brand-new 49-passenger vessel! Meet our Guest Representative at your cruise ship dock and board our complimentary shuttle. Enjoy a scenic 25-minute ride to the Auke Bay boat harbor and back. Each tour includes a dedicated stop to view the Mendenhall Glacier from the water (weather permitting). Experience the difference of a personalized tour! This 4-hour and 5-minute excursion includes approximately 1 hour for round-trip transfers, 2 hours and 45 minutes for whale watching and sightseeing, walking on the dock to the boat, and restroom breaks.

Activity Schedule 4 h 05 This tour operates on Harv & Marv’s custom-built 49-passenger vessel. Observe Alaska's humpback whales, stellar sea lions, and diverse marine life. Enjoy a view of the Mendenhall Glacier from the water (*weather dependent). The 4-hour and 5-minute duration INCLUDES round-trip transfer time from the cruise ship docks.

Meeting point and return

Kindly provide the name of your cruise ship when making your reservation. We require this information in advance to coordinate our representatives to meet you directly at your ship's gangway. Thank you for helping us ensure an effortless pickup experience.

Cruise ship pick-up Instructions:

Meeting Location: We know where your ship is! Go straight to the boardwalk/sidewalk directly in front of your ship - Includes AJ Dock (Do NOT go into town/tram or follow ship staff directions to leave the area).

Arrival Time: Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled departure. Please keep your cell phone on you in case we need to get ahold of you.

How to Find Us: Look for the representative, directly outside of your ships gangway, in bright orange with an orange flag in their backpack, holding an Alaska Galore Tours / Harv and Marv’s / Juneau Lighthouse Tours sign.

Accessibility & Assistance: You must be able to walk down a potentially steep tide ramp and step onto the bus and boat (foldable wheelchairs require advance notice).

Drop off point is the same as your pick up point. No other drop off locations can be accommodated. Any changes to your pick up location must be handled at least 24 hours in advance, and the tour provider must be contacted.

If NOT arriving on a cruise ship, please contact us directly for options. We are happy to offer instructions on meeting us directly at our dock (Statter Harbor) or another central meeting location.

Please be sure to bring these instructions with you on the day of your tour!

IMPORTANT: If you have not provided your Cruise Ship information and phone number during checkout, you must contact the operator with this information. The tour operator is not liable if you do not reach out to us to provide this information.

DAY OF TRAVEL: PLEASE BE AT YOUR DEPARTURE LOCATION 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO TOUR TIME. We depart promptly on time, no refunds will be permitted if you arrive late. If you are not able to find your representative, please call 907-209-8686.

If on a cruise ship, we MUST know which one. There are five docks in Juneau, we will pick you up from YOUR cruise ship once provided.

The tour operates in all safe weather conditions; please dress appropriately.
The tour is subject to favorable weather conditions. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be offered the option of an alternative time or date or a full refund.
We are NOT wheelchair accessible. Our buses and smaller boats do not have ramps for boarding, and space is very limited. This tour is not recommended for those needing assistance to enter/exit our vessels.
Collapsible strollers and wheelchairs can be accommodated provided the passenger is accompanied by someone who can assist them with boarding and disembarking. This must be noted at the time of booking.

Whale of a time!

Had a fantastic time! We were guaranteed to see whales - by shore excursions - and we saw plenty. They informed us that it would be mainly humpbacks as they didn’t see too many orcas. We needed up seeing more orcas. Even the tour operators were in awe. We also saw two sea lions playing on a buoy. They were much easier to catch in a photo! Definitely something worth doing.

The whole team are sensational, extremely knowledgeable, bubbly and high energy. I did the last trip of the season on my own and a few friends of mine who have been to Alaska countless times said there was no way of seeing whales at this time of year, we saw 5 whales! We also found some seals and glaciers. An amazing experience I’ll keep with me for my entire life and would definitely recommend doing this tour!

Guides were excellent! They were very enthusiastic and well informed on the subject of whales. The boat pilot was skilled and enjoyed his work. The whole crew had a great sense of humor. We were made comfortable and even given drinks and a snack while we were onboard the boat. The best part is that we saw 8 whales on this trip!! Tess took photos and shared them with us after the excursion. This trip was the highlight of my Alaskan trip.
