Fabulous Whale Watch and Glacier Views

Knowledgeable and engaging crew. An orca came up right beside our boat on the whale watch, and the glacier driver and guide did a great job as well.

Incredible Whale Watching Experience - Highly Recommend
evelynsY8130VL, October 2026
I cannot recommend this company enough. I was hesitant to book an excursion outside of my cruise ship, worrying about making back to the ship in time, finding the location, etc. but am so glad that I took the chance. Alaska Tales made it so easy - the instructions were easy to follow to find them downtown. Our bus driver was awesome - gave us fun facts about the area, dropped us off at Mendenhall Glacier and then picked us up to go see whale watching. The whale watching was truly incredible - we saw so many whales including a baby whale breach twice. Our naturalist Gwen had so many fun facts including the ages of the whales, the names, etc. Her and the rest of the team were incredible.

Whale watching - Alaska Tales Juneau Alaska

Ash, Sophie and Dectzn were fabulous! Ash was so enthusiastic and energetic that you couldn't help to feel the same. She also shared pictures her friend to from a boat closer to the whales. The bus driver, which unfortunately I don't remember his name. They all contributed to an amazing experience I will never forget!

Whales with Capt. Larry and super guides Ash and Claire
russj431, October 2026
Our crew of Larry, Ash, and Claire made it a lifetime experience. We learned about the whales habits and their environment. We saw a tremendous amount of whales on a marginal weather day in mid September . It was an absolute thrill to spot the blow then actually see the whales over and over again. I would recommend this excursion and crew to anybody.
