Angkor Wat
We commence with a pre-dawn departure, between 4:30 AM and 4:40 AM depending on the season, from your hotel to witness the sunrise outside Angkor Wat. Enter the grand temple in darkness through the less-frequented eastern side, and proceed through ancient, cloistered corridors adorned with the world's longest bas-relief carvings. Absorb the tranquil atmosphere of dawn at Angkor Wat from the edge of one of the historic library pools. Following this, we will dedicate two hours to exploring the interior of the great temple, including its corridors, central chambers, and upper terraces. Your knowledgeable local guide will interpret the numerous stories depicted in the bas-reliefs, offering insights into life during the zenith of the Khmer Empire. Our exploration of Angkor concludes with breakfast outside the temple (a takeaway from your hotel) and a brief period of rest.

An unforgettable experience exploring Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples at sunrise. The temples themselves are absolutely breathtaking, and seeing them in the early morning light was a truly special experience. Our guide, Sen, added so much to the day. He was knowledgeable, friendly and genuinely passionate about the history and culture of the temples. His explanations brought the sites to life without ever feeling rushed, and he was happy to answer all our questions. Bonus points for knowing all the best picture spots! We definitely saw things and learned facts we would have never discovered if we had’ve gone to the sites on our own. The breakfast stop was also great, and cold towels and water provided were much appreciated. Cannot recommend this experience enough.
