Loved this food tour in Athens!

This tour was great! Our tour guide, Zeffe was so knowledgeable and authentic. We started out Ava small deli as she called it and samples a nice charcuterie board of meats and cheeses (plus some wine and a sample of some type of alcohol, I can’t remember the name of it). Next we tried some pies at a local pastry shop. They were all delicious. We sampled a couple of savory and a sweet. Next we went to a place called Meat the Greek where we had a choice of souvlaki or a pita wrapped sandwich. Again, all delicious. By now I was full but I was t willing to bypass the spread they brought out for us at Ella’s. We were served a Greek salad, slow roasted chicken peas and pasticcio. Again, everything was delicious! They also gave us a choice of either wine or a soft drink at Ella’s. We finished up a t pastry shop for a piece of baklava. Zeffe immersed us in the food Athens food scene and we were so happy we were able to experience it. I would recommend this tour 💯
