The first place to visit in the Bacalar Lagoon is “Cenote Esmeralda”, where you’ll be amazed by the different shades of blue and understand why the Bacalar Lagoon is frequently referred as the 7 colors lagoon. Our next stop is “Cenote Cocalitos”, home of stromatolites, that are known as living stones and are considered the oldest form of life in the planet. The third point to enjoy will be “Black Cenote” which is an open sky cenote and also the deepest point of the lagoon. The final spot to is the Pirate Channel, as you’ll be explained that day, pirates used to enter Bacalar by using this channel to steal local precious wood. You’ll also have a beautiful view of the different shades of blue of the Lagoon.

The first glimpse you’ll have of this beautiful lagoon when you get close to the coast from the hill amazing view. The first place to visit in the Bacalar Lagoon is “Cenote Esmeralda”, where you’ll be amazed by the different shades of blue and understand why the Bacalar Lagoon is frequently referred as the 7 colors lagoon. Our next stop is “Cenote Cocalitos”, home of stromatolites, that are known as living stones and are considered the oldest form of life in the planet. On Wednesdays, we visit the beautiful lagoon of Bacalar at a private beach club. Here, we will navigate on a pontoon to admire the 7 colors of the lagoon and stop at a sandy beach to enjoy its crystal-clear water. Enjoy a cold beer or a refreshing soda while your guide prepares a unique juicy honey pineapple. After enjoying the beautiful lagoon and refreshing ourselves in the sweet water, we will delight ourselves with authentic Mexican local seasoned food. Finally, we will head back to the ship, amazed by our fantastic day and ready to share our experiences with family and new friends. Return to the ship is 100% guaranteed. We had an incredible time with Jerry, Hasan, and Francisco. They were prompt, communicated everything clearly and promptly, and guided us from our meeting point until we were back at port. They greeted us with water, introduced themselves, drove us around an hour into Baccalar while introducing and sharing the culture of the region, stopped for pictures, showed us the lagoon where we swam, fed us, and returned us to port with plenty of time to spare.
