Embark on an authentic journey through Bergen with local, authorized guides, exploring both the city's highlights and hidden gems in a small-group setting.
The first part of our tour delves into Bergen's rich history. We'll explore the fortress complex, uncovering its medieval past and its brief tenure as Norway's capital. Following this historical overview, we proceed to Bryggen, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here, you'll discover a millennium of trade history and the origins of Bergen's prosperity.
The second half of our tour focuses on contemporary life in Bergen. We'll venture beyond the typical tourist areas into the neighborhood surrounding Bryggen. As we uncover Bergen's best-kept secrets, you'll gain insights into the daily lives of its residents. The tour concludes by passing by our recommended dining establishments.
This is considered a moderate walk, involving stairs, covering approximately 3km (2 miles).
Upon booking, you will receive a confirmation email containing all necessary details, including the meeting point, recommended attire, and our contact information.
Please meet us at Bradbenken 1, an office building constructed of brick, situated next to the fortress entrance. We will be positioned on the side of the building facing the harbor. Your guide will be holding a sign displaying the tour name. The guide will be present 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
Our tour concludes in the vicinity of the Bergen tourist office.
