Stellenbosch
Following your pickup from your Cape Town accommodation, we'll travel via the N2 highway across the Cape Flats towards the mountainous town of Stellenbosch.
During the drive, your guide will provide engaging commentary on the significant landmarks you pass.
Upon arriving in Stellenbosch, you'll have the opportunity to disembark and explore the charming town on foot. Admire the endemic Cape Dutch architecture lining the leafy streets, and the historic water furrows, some over 150 years old, that channel water down the town's gentle northeastern slope.
Discover a variety of shops offering art, antiques, jewelry, and carved wood. This is also a perfect moment to enjoy a coffee and soak in the town's lively atmosphere before we proceed to our first wine tasting.

Lanzerac Wine Estate
After a brief exploration of Stellenbosch, our next stop is the Lanzerac Wine Estate for a delightful chocolate and wine tasting pairing.
Lanzerac, one of Stellenbosch's oldest wine estates, spans approximately 200 hectares at the foot of the Jonkershoek Mountains. It's renowned for showcasing some of the finest examples of Cape Dutch architecture globally.
The historic Manor House, dating back to the 1830s, holds provincial heritage status. Combined with its vineyards and wine cellar, it embodies the French tradition of integrating a country hotel with a wine estate.
While Lanzerac is historically significant as the first place Pinotage was bottled, your tasting here will focus on a unique pairing of 5 premium wines with artisanal chocolates, designed to highlight the nuanced textures of each wine.

Tokara Wine Estate
From Lanzerac, we'll navigate the scenic, winding Hell's Hoogte Pass to reach Tokara.
In contrast to the historic Lanzerac, Tokara boasts a modern aesthetic, offering breathtaking views that extend to Table Mountain and featuring an olive grove producing exceptional olive oils.
Your wine tasting will feature 5 classic wines, including a Rosé, and one of the region's finest Cabernet Sauvignons, meticulously cultivated for two decades.
The estate's rich soil, composed of decomposed granite and weathered sandstone, allows for the cultivation of unique grape batches that are expertly blended into top-tier wines. A Tokara wine advisor will guide you through each wine, and if time permits, you may sample their olive oils or a cheese platter.
Please note: We reserve the right to substitute Tokara with an alternative venue if it is fully booked or closed for private functions.

Nestled amidst mountains and meticulously kept vineyards, Franschhoek offers a stunning blend of natural beauty and human endeavor. The exquisite Leeu Estate, with its art galleries, hotel, and restaurants, invites a longer stay.
We will pause here for a lunch break. You'll also have the opportunity to explore the town's charming shops, which offer a delightful array of art, jewelry, fine leather goods, clothing, and even artisanal chocolate factories!
