A great afternoon with Orcas
U6347XEandyb, September 2026
Captain Tilly took us out on an hour long passage on a fast open boat to a location with lots of Orcas. A really special afternoon with a great guide
Response from the operator · Oceanecoventure Thank you for this wonderful review! You definitely had a special trip with Tilly! On that particular tour, you were lucky enough to witness what we call a “T Party,” when multiple groups of Transient (Bigg’s) killer whales come together. What a memorable experience!

A cloudy day from Cowichan Bay
X5562SZdianah, September 2026
First time to whale watch, there were 10 of us plus Captain, and was sighting whales in the Strait of Georgia in a short time. Family groups of Bigg's Killer whales and humpback whales were spotted blowing on the surface and diving. The tour guide/captain had knowledge of the individual whales and answered all questions from the group. Taz kept the boat a safe distance from the whales and tried her best to give us a good view to photograph and record our sightings. Well worth the price of the 4 hour trip.
Response from the operator · Oceanecoventure Thank you for joining us for your very first whale-watching adventure! We’re so glad you had such a memorable experience and that Taz helped make your time on the water both safe and enjoyable. It’s wonderful to hear that you found the tour well worth the price. We truly appreciate your support and hope to welcome you and your family back again!

Awesome. Full boat but not cramped, amazing views of Orcas down in Cordova Bay.
Response from the operator · Oceanecoventure Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the tour and had amazing views of the orcas in Cordova Bay. We’re also glad you found the boat comfortable, even with a full group on board. Thank you for joining us, and we hope to welcome you back for another adventure on the Salish Sea!

The best whale watching tour group operator on Vancouver island!
kennethaI424ZQ, September 2026
Mandy and I had the best experience and the T orca sightings exceeded our expectations. We had no idea that so much of the four hour excursion would involve being so close to multiple families Captain Kate Fleming was so knowledgable and easily connected with our tour group with facts, stories and humour. I couldn't recommend this company any more highly The minute we walked into the Cowichan Bay storefront and greeted Victoria, with her wonderful smile and attitude, we knew we were in the right place thank you again!
Response from the operator · Oceanecoventure Thank you so much for such a wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that your orca sightings exceeded your expectations and that you enjoyed seeing multiple families during your time on the water. It’s wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the facts, stories, and humour along the way.
We’re especially glad to hear that Victoria gave you such a warm welcome when you arrived. We’ll be sure to pass along your kind words to both her and captain Kate! We hope to see you again someday!

Great Day on the Water with Ocean EcoVentures
beverlys575, September 2026
We had an amazing day on the water yesterday! We were lucky with the weather, we were in a very comfortable boat, and (most importantly) we saw whales!! 11 of them, which is very unusual, as 2 pods came together to socialize. There was breaching, spy hopping, hunting, feeding, and general roughhousing amongst the younger set. Tilly, our captain and nature interpreter (a marine biologist), helped us to understand what we were seeing. This is my 3rd trip with Ocean EcoVentures. Each trip has been unique, and I've seen different things and been different places. Highly recommend!!
Response from the operator · Oceanecoventure Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear you had such an amazing day on the water and were lucky enough to see 11 whales together! It sounds like you had some truly special encounters.
We’re especially happy to hear that Tilly helped bring everything you were seeing to life. And thank you for choosing Ocean EcoVentures for your third trip with us! We really appreciate your continued support and recommendation. We hope to welcome you back for trip number four!
