Saw my first wild sea otter!
DanaB1634, October 2026
I loved this trip, I’ve been out with Eagle Wings several times (I’m a Victoria local) and I always learn something new or see something I’ve never seen before. Yesterday I saw my first sea otter in the wild, they’re very rare in the Victoria area as they’re slowly repopulating after the fur trade almost wiped the species out. Seeing a lone male almost made me cry, it’s such a tribute to the conservation efforts that organizations like Eagle Wings contributes to. We also saw orca and several humpback whales, as well as so many sea lions and harbour seals. Stunning day on the water in the Salish Sea.

Thank you so much for sharing this, and for coming out with us again! It’s always so special to welcome back familiar faces, and even more so when a trip brings a brand new moment you’ll never forget. Days like yours are a beautiful reminder of why protecting these waters matters so much, and we’re grateful to have guests who care about it as deeply as we do. We can’t wait to see what your next trip with us brings! All the best, Tianda

We had the most amazing experience! Spent lots of time watching 2 families of orcas and a humpback. Also loved seeing Race Rocks and the sea lions in the fog. The guide was excellent, full of interesting information! I highly recommend this tour! We really appreciated the discount for locals!

Maddie, Emma and the crew on October 4 sunset tour were amazing as our tour. We loved their energy and the experience of being able to be near the whales and learning about the wildlife around Victoria. This was our favourite experience in our visit to Vancouver island. Hands down 10/10

Outstanding tour start to finish - don't hesitate!
GeorgiaAG, October 2026
We saw and learned about orcas (a T party!), humpbacks, harbor seals, sea lions and many varieties of sea birds. The staff were knowledgeable, professional, kind, caring and made the experience a lot of fun. The scenery and wildlife we experienced were breathtaking and the conservation efforts of Eagle Wing made us really glad to have supported their operation, even though we gained much more ourselves through the experience. We really do hope to enjoy one of their tours again in the future.
Response from the operator · Brett Soberg

Knowing that our conservation work matters to our guests means the world to us, and every trip helps support the waters and wildlife we love so much. We'd be delighted to see you aboard again in the future. All the best, Tianda
